Finalist, The Lion and the Unicorn Award for Excellence in North American Poetry. A variety of imaginary and real creatures, unusual people, and miscellaneous obsessions appear in this highly accessible and unusual book of wordplay. Lawson's craftsmanship utilizes alliteration, assonance, consonance, and rhyme that contribute to the playful energy of the poetry.
