Quantum Physics

by Stephen Gasiorowicz

Since the publication of the first edition over 35 years ago, Quantum Physics has been one of the standard quantum mechanics texts for undergraduate physics majors. Its hallmarks are clear, concise exposition and a balance of theory and applications. In the 3rd Edition, the author has made numerous changes—based on feedback from teachers and students—to enhance the book's strengths. One of the author's important goals has been to offer teachers and students a textbook that is manageable in one semester. However, recognizing that some teachers like to go into more depth on certain topics, he has developed a web site where more detailed presentations can be found.

intro quantum for physics majors. why anyone would use this instead of griffiths is a total mystery to me.

[Arefeh]

Classifying the subjects in a biased way which makes it difficult to understand the main subjects

[Brian]

Not very good, I had to refer to Griffiths often, which is a superior book.

[Pedro Sismeiro]

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DREADFUL BOOK. IT'S USELESS EVEN AS DOOR STOP.

A 1 eV electron got trapped inside the surface of a metal. If the potential barrier is 4 eV and the width of the barrier is 2 𝐴𝐴0, find the probability of transmission.

[Mi Lia]

A concise, practical, well written and self-sufficient book of quantum mechanics, ideal for a BSc in Physics level.

[Muhammad Haris]

Just amazing book i would say got through from very in depth and valuable knowledge it's just awesome.
