The way she looked at me right now, breathless in anticipation-she felt it too.
There was one thing for it.
I'd make her mine.
Emma is Angelina's best friend, which means now she's best friends with Haithem as well, and she must suffer with watching the sickeningly in love couple while her life hits a standstill. Figuring out living situations, her job, her future in general can wait while she is with the couple in Italy though, because there are handsome men at every turn. Avner seems like just the type of poison she desires, until she finds he is Haithem's best friend. He's the first guy she can't control herself with, but he's also within the circle and off limits. The two can't deny their attraction and when their personal lives keep tangling them together they find themselves giving in. A friendship is agreed upon while Emma focuses on jump starting her career, but a dangerous threat to her life makes Avner pay a little bit more attention, makes his emotions a little stronger, and his protection hurts Emma more than helps her. Desperate to understand better Emma begins to dig a little deeper, but the secrets she holds close and the lies she uncovers threaten to unravel everything.
My intentions with Emma tonight were pure. But my desire for her was far from it.
While I have loved the previous two novels in the Bad for You series, nothing prepared me for just how much I would enjoy Don't Lie to Me. The characters, the story line, the erotic passion, and the worrying suspense kept me wrapped in this book for hours, avoiding sleep in hopes of getting a resolution on who is after Emma and finally seeing Avner and Emma have a real shot at something more. Emma and Avner are so different from Angelina and Haithem, it's like night and day. Sure, Avner is just as commanding, but for different reasons. Emma is stubborn, in fact I hated her for the first 20% of the novel, but she grows on you. She's independent, smart, and her past is heartbreaking. Her growth through out the novel was beyond my expectations for her and really rounded out the story line for me, made it more realistic. Their attraction is complicated, the emotions connected to that even more so. These two go beyond lust and the push and pull game they partake in caused me to feel so conflicted. Their lives are so drastically different, but every time they gave in to their desires I cheered a little inside. They are hot and heavy when they let passion rule and just like always, Amber A. Bardan writes some very hot erotic scenes.

The suspense surrounding Emma's and the protection Avner so desperately wants to provide to her makes this one of the better romantic suspense novels I have read. I couldn't figure out for the longest time what connection Emma had that could cause her life to be in danger, it was surprisingly engaging to be out of the loop and to be figuring it out right alongside the characters. Like the previous novels in the series, secrets are the name of the game and those secrets bring along some twists. Facing the secrets, lies, and the lurking danger doesn't sound like a perfect recipe for the couple to find solace in one another, but it makes the adventure getting there so much better. As a reader I was constantly hoping for one thing, but left questioning how any of this could turn out good for Emma or Avner. It's a thrilling story to follow and Amber's writing brings it all to life with her descriptive words, complex characters, and her imaginative story line that doesn't follow all the usual norms.

4.5 out of 5 aaaaamzing Avner stars.
Oh my goodness. I was told Avner was a wonderful leading alpha. I was promised sexy bossy and over the top alphaness and boy, did I get it.
I thought this book was gorgeous and scrummy and a delight to read. The storyline engaging and fun, and of course we got to see the sexy Haithem again!
I hope there's going to be more in this series.

I've really, really loved this Bad for You series. Some of the best characters I've read in a long while. if you adore ( like I do ) over the top alpha males who have bossiness streaking through their blood stream, who will go above, beyond and through anything they have to to protect their women then this book and this series is for you.
I'm so glad I discovered Amber Bardan's work this week, I've enjoyed all four of her books I've read so far, seriously cracktastic reads, and ones I will happy read again and again.
I adored Avner in Don't Lie to Me, a dark mysterious man with secrets, what is not to love! Amber writes some of the best heroes you will just fall head over heels in love with. Angelina and Emma are lucky girls. ( and so are their men for fantastically creative heroines )
Now I'm kinda hoping we get Avener's sister Rebecca's story somewhere down the line.

What possibly can be a woman scorned? A woman with a plan. Not just a plan but determination, strength, wisdom, fortitude, and completely uninhibited by anything. Or at least when it comes to what she wants and going about getting it. Emma wants what her best friend has, but knowing at the same time that it was not in the cards for her. She decides that she needs to have some fun and let loose. Who else to help her with her quest than the sexy reclusive Avner.
What can destroy faster than a secret revealed? A lie or lies that are told and then later someone or somehow the truth comes out. Avner had a world that was totally different from the one that he was making with Emma. A little lie here, a little one there, and then later it will not be known it was all for her protection. That protection was slowly choking the life from Emma’s world. She worked to understand why he would do this. The truth set her on a path that she did not want.
The action, suspense, the thrilling adventure. All the lies, secrets, protection all comes to a boil and twist. Bardan put on a performance that will catch your attention and hold you suspended to the end. The well-developed characters, the insightful plot, the overconsuming suspense, the level of creativity brings it all together and makes it that much more.

I swear, I will gobble up anything Amber writes. I need more!
Emma and Avner. Who would've thought? I cannot even express the sizzling chemistry between these two. Hot then cold, but oh so very hot.
Amber's writing is the type to suck you in. Before you know it, you've read half the book wondering where it all went. Her dirty words, her sexy scenes, her thrilling rollercoaster. All of it flies by from the first page.
To me, there is no higher praise than: ... Go read these damn books right now!

I seriously cannot get enough of the characters and their romances in the Bad for You series. Seriously. Their lives are full of passion, suspense, mystery and intrigue. Amber Bardan has created an freaking amazing world and I absolutely love every time I jump back into it!!
Don't Lie to Me breaks away from Haithem and Angelina - who have found their way to happily ever - and delves into Angelina's best friend Emma and her relationship with Avner. He is Haithem's friend and business partner as well - so right from the start it's complicated.
However, after their first initial encounter, these two find that they share an instant attraction and lust for one another. And even though they fight their feelings, it's unavoidable that they will eventually move forward together.
It's intense. They push every single boundary and comfort level they have set for themselves. It made me anticipate the moments that they surrendered to their feelings and passion. They left my lady bit screaming at me and my heart swooning - it's the best of all romance worlds.
Coupled with their budding romance is all of the thrilling drama that surrounds Emma and Avner. Someone is watching her and seems to want to do her harm. You don't know if it's because of her connection to Avner or her research. It's very exciting and it had me devouring page after page to see how the author would resolve the situation.
There didn't end up being a single point in this book that I wasn't feeling happy. The plot and love story in Don't Lie to Me blew me away. I highly recommend checking it out as well as the other books in this series. They are must read romantic suspense novels.

Emma is the best friend of Angelina and watching her and Haithem, Emma wants that too. But she knows it will never come true for her. So she is going to have fun on her terms and with whom she chooses. So when she meets Avner, she knows she wants him but for how long is the question. Because she knows he will show her a good time because she can tell just by the way he looks at her.
Avner sees Emma and knows that he wants her but with Haithem's warning he has to steer clear of her. But Emma is a force to be reckoned with, she is strong, determined, uninhibited and beautiful. All he wants now is to protect her and make her his.
But with both of them keeping secrets, can they make a relationship work? Will she run when she learn about his dealings and his past? What will Avner do when he learns her secret? Emma and Avner both have a past that will break your heart and you will want them to help each other heal.
I love Angelina and Haithem's story but I think I loved this one just a little more. Another addition to the great series.

Don’t Lie to Me is the third book in Amber Bardan’s Bad For You series. While you don’t necessarily have to read the previous two books to enjoy this one, I do believe that you would get a better understanding of the world that Amber Bardan has created by doing so. Since Don’t Lie to Me focuses on the best friend of the heroine from the previous books and the business partner of the hero, I consider it to be more of a spin-off to the the prior books. The central themes of control, overprotectiveness, and strong sexual content are the same throughout all the books. However, Don’t Lie to Me is mainly just pure and unadulterated porn with no filters.
Avner Malficini is one of the richest people in the world. He has a reputation of being somewhat of a criminal but it’s not totally clear what types of crimes he commits. He also runs a technology company that has made world changing applications. Emma Neeson is an aspiring inventor who has a product that could save countless lives if she can just get the right person to invest in it. A chance meeting with Avner changes her life forever but this is far from your typical love story. As with Amber’s other books in this series, there’s a lot of secrets and lies. These secrets do a lot to shape their relationships. In this case, the secrets are not even close to being bad enough to keep these two from burning up the sheets but it does cause plenty of drama outside of the bedroom. Of course, there comes a point where Emma’s life is in danger and it’s a mystery as to where the threat is coming from. Avner exhausts all resources to keep Emma safe even if she doesn’t want him to.
Don’t Lie to Me is a testament to the idea of protecting the love of your life without any regard of the consequences. Avner and Emma learn a lot about themselves and each other in the process. They have both suffered enormous losses in the past and must learn to trust each other and share their demons. There is a small amount of action and intrigue but it’s clearly overshadowed by their intense sexual encounters. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but be prepared to have your mind and your senses blown.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!
Emma Neeson never expected a man like Avner Malfacini. When she meets the magnetic man, her vagina literally does a happy dance, but Avner isn't one of her boy toys. He will possess her, own her, devour her...and she'll like it. But for a woman who needs to know everything, she hates Avner's secrets and half truths. If he told her the real story behind his past, his present and the people who would stop at nothing to get to her, she'd go running...right? Emma hasn't been completely honest with Avner either, and she doesn't trust easily. Can these two very damaged people find a future together?
Nnngh! These Bad for You novels by Ms. Bardan are craaaaaay! I freakin' love every one of them, and I didn't think there was any way I'd go gaga over a story not focused on Angel and Haithem, but I was soooo wrong. Emma starts off as brash, confident, always the woman in charge unapologetically, but when she meets Avner, who is the same, the explosion was magnificent. The give and take between the two was absolutely terrific; he was the quintessential Alpha male going up against the headstrong Alpha female but having the patience for the long game. She was frustratingly independent and unwilling to trust, but then again, Avner didn't really give her a reason to do so.
The dialogue was fabulous, the sex, beyond erotic, the storyline, suspenseful and fast-paced. I loved every single thing about DON'T LIE TO ME!

This is a story of two people with secrets. Two people unwilling to give up those secrets in order to protect those they care about. Two people with undeniable attraction they can't deny.
When Emma sees Avner for the first time, all she can thing is that a one night stand is just what the doctor ordered. Warnings from Haithem don't deter her for long. Nothing can stop the need she feels for him. She doesn't have time for a relationship with the research she's doing. She could end up saving a lot of lives, including her own. With people after her and her research, she needs someone to protect her.
Avner is very secretive. He does a little bit of everything from hacking to spying. He's a brilliant man who is used to getting what he wants. His secrets are devastating but he'll protect Emma at all costs.
I loved these two! The chemistry of course was amazing. Both Avner and Emma are stubborn and hard headed but that makes for a very interesting story. They have a lot of obstacles to overcome, including the lack of support from his best friend. One thing we learn quickly is that if Avner wants something, he'll get it one way or the other. The strength and tenacity that Emma had was inspiring. She was willing to do anything to complete her research.
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I do suggest reading the other two books first, it'll help understand a few things a little better. Amber Bardan weaves an exciting tale of romance and suspense. I was kept on the edge of my seat. The whole story was so intriguing it was hard to out down. The series just keeps getting better!

Avner is very secretive. He does a little bit of everything from hacking to spying. He's a brilliant man who is used to getting what he wants. His secrets are devastating but he'll protect Emma at all costs.
I loved these two! The chemistry of course was amazing. Both Avner and Emma are stubborn and hard headed but that makes for a very interesting story. They have a lot of obstacles to overcome, including the lack of support from his best friend. One thing we learn quickly is that if Avner wants something, he'll get it one way or the other. The strength and tenacity that Emma had was inspiring. She was willing to do anything to complete her research.
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I do suggest reading the other two books first, it'll help understand a few things a little better. Amber Bardan weaves an exciting tale of romance and suspense. I was kept on the edge of my seat. The whole story was so intriguing it was hard to out down. The series just keeps getting better!

This started out really good, ended up good?
I guess I'd say that what started off as a seemingly fast paced drama with high action/excitement, ended up being a little more low key. It's a bit long but still pretty good. The story was interesting even if I at first I thought it would be more spy like. It's not... more a typical love story about an uber rich dude with secrets who falls for a woman who's self sufficient but in need of help. There's deceit, lies, kidnapping... the normal things you'd expect.
It's part 3 of a series and while a reader would not need to have read the first two books in the series (I have not read them), it might have been good. I kept wondering how much Avner's character may have been in the first two books and if I'd had a better idea of what I was going to get. But it didn't deter me or take me away from anything in the book. This can totally be read as a stand alone.

O. M. G.!!!!!!! How does this author do it? No, really? How did she make this third installment better, if not THE BEST of the series thus far? I mean, don't get me wrong. Angelina and Haithem will forever be the "IT" couple in my eyes. But holy mother of something dark, twisted and ridiculously hot, all rolled up in one amazing gift basket!! And to think....I thought the series was over...this picks up at Angelina and Haithem's wedding...in Italy.
Emma is the amazingly beautiful best friend to Angelina. You know, the one Angelina had to lie to for all those months (don't think she isn't bitter about it). After spending time in Italy with her best friend and fiance, watching their almost sickening love for each other, Emma needed a little pick me up. So what does she do? What she normally does. Hunt for some meaningless, yet fulfilling sex. But when the lucky man she "picked" out turns out to be Haithem's best friend Avner, the rules change and things become complicated.
Avner, although a gazillionaire and handsome, hasn't had much time in his life for "extra curricular" activities. So when he's approached by a beautiful young lady, he takes the bait. However, before he can enjoy his bait, the reality of who she slams the door in his face. But there is something about her that he can't shake. She's not the typical girl he can play with and toss away. She's more. A friend. A possibility at what he thought he'd never have. But first, he has to keep her safe.
There is obvious chemistry between these two and I'm gonna venture to say that it's even hotter than Angelina and Haithem in my opinion. Emma is sex on wheels and Avner is AL-PHA personified...to the tenth degree. But before these two can truly be happy with each other, they need to deal with each others past. And what a past these two have. Demons are more like it. What's worse, secrets or lies? That question is put to the test.

Don't Lie To Me is the third book in the Bad For You series by Amber Bardan.Though it has different protagonists from the first two books in the series, it would be better if one had read the first two books in the series before coming to this one.I hadn't done so and I felt like I was missing out on a few events and references.It took some time for me to get into this novel, but once I did it was really good!
I loved the mood and the feel that the author has created in this novel.Emma is Angelina's best friend and now that Angelina and Haithem are married, she's quite tired of seeing the happy couple and being the third wheel.She sees a sexy guy and opportunity to have a night of fun,but before they can go upto their room she discovers that he is Haithem's business partner Avner.So now she considers him off-limits,since she doesn't want to involve herself with anyone in the circle and wait for the inevitable blowup when the relationship ends.But Avner isn't one to be deterred.
Avner is instantly captured by the bold,intelligent and beautiful Emma.Haithem warns him not to go after Emma, as he doesn't want to see her hurt.But once they get together there is no going back.Emma also has to face a lot of danger from someone who might be after her latest invention.Avner also has a lot going on and many secrets.Will this drive the couple apart or will they stay together despite the difficulties?
Avner was really different from the typical alphas that we read about.He is definitely overprotective,overbearing and controlling , but he is also very caring and loyal.Emma is fiercely independent and doesn't like being told what to do.I loved how he made it clear to Avner in the beginning itself that she would walk away if he became too controlling with her.Gotta love a heroine who has backbone.The chemistry between them was sizzling hot too!
My only gripe would probably be that it took some time for me to understand what was going on.It would have been easier if I had read the first two books before this one.

Emma is a bit of a commitment phobe, but at her best friend's wedding, she meets their reclusive business partner, and the attraction is instant. She decides that she wants to have a fling with this sexy man that ties her up in knots, as he takes her breath away. Plus, he won't be pushed around, as he is always in control. Avner has no doubt that he wants to make the beautiful Emma his, but his life isn't easy, and the night that they were to hook up, he had to leave her. He decides to take his time, because he wants more than just a fling, but Emma isn't the easiest to pin down. Not to mention that his work can be dark, and past duties cannot be forgotten. Nor does it help that someone dangerous is after her, so will he be able to protect her from the darkness of his past before it's too late?!
WOW WOW WOW! This book sucked me in from the very first sentence, and kept my heart racing cover to cover! Amber Bardan's absolutely brilliant writing style has me completely addicted, and I'll never be the same, nor do I want to be. Her diabolical twists and turns had me dropping more f-bombs than a Denver Broncos loss. Every time I thought I knew what direction the story was going in, BAM! It veered off somewhere shocking! The character development is great, and I LOVED LOVED LOVED Emma TONS! Their flammable chemistry that threatened to boil over every time they were in the same room, FINALLY EXPLODES into FIERY FLAMES of panty destroying (another commando is best, book) sexy scene goodness that I can only dream of having someday! Between the scorchin' hotness, and intense suspense, the well placed humor (Emma's escaping) kept me laughing. Not to mention the tortured souls of both of them, had huge emotions seeping out of my kindle, and I just wanted to cry for them. Anyhow, this is another amazing book that I can't do anything but HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This series just gets better and better!!! Ambers writing is the kind that will suck you in from the beginning and keep you hooked all the way through.

Whew! What a follow up! I loved having a little insight back into Haithem and Angelina's lives was wonderful. The story of Avner and Emma is part soul crushing and part amazing!! Who knew how deep Avner was? What he's been through? And Emma? Oh my! Her story is sad and brilliant all together. The twists? Unexpected. Their story together? Absolute perfection.

Don't Lie to Me is book# 3 is Amber Bardan's Bad for You series. This book is about Avner whom we met in the first books and Emma, Angelina's best friend who was also introduced in the first books. Even though this book has reoccurring characters this book can be read as a standalone.
Emma has been traveling with Angelina and Haithim and they are finally in Italy in preparations for the couple’s nuptials. While Emma is thrilled, that Angelina has found her HEA seeing the couple constantly mooning over each other with love-sick eyes has also reminded her how incredibly lonely she is. She decides to treat herself to some random hot sex and goes looking for a one night stand at the hotel's bar when she stumbles across a gorgeous stranger. As the two make their way to the elevators Emma is stunned to learn that the handsome stranger isn't a stranger to everyone and turns out to be none other than Haithim's friend Avner.
Avner is blown away by the beautiful woman who has come onto him. He is instantly drawn to the woman and immediately recognizes the pull he feels towards her as something deeper than just blowing off some steam. He will stop at nothing to make her his and keep her even as Haithim warns him to steer clear. However, the more these two are together the more their sparks fly and it isn't long before they find themselves in each other arms. When Emma's life appears to be in danger Avner will stop at nothing to protect her, even if that means using a page from his friend's playbook and "kidnapping" her.
Avner has become my favorite new alpha male character. He is sexy and fierce but also loyal and protective especially when it comes to those he cares about. Avner has secrets though, secrets only a few of those closest to him know about. Will these secrets be what tears him from the woman he has fallen for?

I had the pleasure of reading Don't Lie to me by Amber Bardan in an ARC in exchanged for an honest review. I am giving this book 4.5 stars because I just loved how the author crafted Emma and Avner story. It was only supposed to be one night of fun and passion, and even though Avner was warned to stay away from Emma he couldn't because she wouldn't let him. And because he knew that he wanted her to bad to walk away. Emma sees the love her best-friend Angelina and Haithem have. Of course when she sees them together and how so in love they are she wants that to0. But the only problem is Emma feels like she never going to have that because she doesn't know if a man can accept her with flaws and all, so Emma looks at it this way she might not get her true love, but she cant still have some fun and that's exactly what she going to do she going to live life on her terms. So when she sees Avner she knows his perfect for her because she knows he will give her a good time. And right now that what she needs to bring her out of her sad mood. The only thing that standing in their way is Haithem he is warning Avner to stay away from Emma because he knows that he will only hurt her. And even though he is trying to obey his friend wishes he just can't because Emma won't let him, and he also knows he wants her and once she his his never going to let her go. The big problem they both have is can they make it work when they both are keeping secrets from each other. Secrets that could tear them apart or bring them together. The question is when they both find out what there hiding about their past will it make them strong as a couple or will it be the one thing that destroys them. As a reader you are so hoping through this whole book that their secrets wouldn't break them because they both had been through so much, and now they found happiness in each other something they both deserved. If you haven't checked out this book you should, and if you love Amber books your going to love this one.

I want to right a disclaimer before I start this book. I thought this was going to be a stand alone when I started this book. It was really hard at times to pick up some of what was going on because it had happened in previous books. I think you really need the background of the other books to get the whole picture of this book and at times I was frustrated. Do you really need the other books to enjoy the book, probably not, but I like the whole story so for me I needed them.
Secrets, secrets, secrets. That is always a good start of a book don't you think? Avner and Emma have them. They are protecting things that are very close to them and for that this book intrigues me. Avner and Emma have an instant chemistry and you feel that throughout the book the only problem is that Emma is going to fight it. Avner is her best friend's husband partner and she definitely doesn't want to mix work with pleasure. She tries to avoid him but that pull keeps them coming together. Avner is such a great character. He has things he is hiding but he can't stay away from Emma. He is the perfect alpha. He's strong, protective, and omg hot. What is there not to love. Emma is fascinating. I love how strong she is during this whole book. The more I know I need to find out more. Emma needs Avner more than she knows. Will she give in to her stubbornness and let him be there.
This couple was perfect. They had everything. The intensity, the chemistry, the suspense, just everything you love from a couple and a book it was there. I couldn't ask for more. Let me rephrase, I want more. This author pulls you into the story and does not let go. The only reason I gave it a four was because I should have read the first two books first. I hate being lost even if it is for a bit. I want to know everything when I start a book and it was my fault I didn't realize I needed to. I love this author and I'm going to jump back and read the first two, so I can get the full picture of the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed the previous two books in the Bad For You series, so couldn't wait to find out what Amber Bardan had planned for us this time around. Don't Lie To Me is a standalone novel, although I highly recommend you read Didn't I Warn You and Didn't You Promise too.
Avner Malfacini's focus is solely on his business dealing. He hasn't the time or inclination to get involved with a woman in his line of work. He's instantly drawn to Emma, so indulges in her for just one night...except it's not enough. Only will his possessive overbearing personality be too much for the first woman to have caught his imagination in years.

I wanted to read Avner's story as soon as I met him and when I knew that Emma was going to be his heroine - I was even more excited. I had such high hopes for Don't Lie to Me and Ms. Bardan did not let me down at ALL! It was positively amazing and I loved, loved, loved it!
Well, sometimes, I wanted to smack that Avner. He will make you shake your head a few times with his overprotectiveness, but he does have good intentions and it's hard to stay truly mad at him when you can tell how much he loves Emma. Avner had the whole alpha-dominant-possessive thing down to a T, but he's also really thoughtful and sweet. I love my dominant alphas but his sweetness was my favorite part about him - he just melted my heart and stole it!
Man, oh man, is Emma a total bada*s or what?! That girl can kick some major butt! I love Angelina, but I have to say that Emma is without a doubt my favorite. She's strong and passionate and she doesn't take any guff from anybody. She speaks her mind, she can take care of herself, but she also takes care of her loved ones. Emma is infinitely loyal - she has her people's backs no matter what and she would do absolutely anything for them. Emma is way beyond a wonderful heroine and I can't tell you how much I loved her!
Don't Lie to Me is sexy, sensual, passionate, and full of fire. It will break your heart, make you want to cry, do a face palm, and pull on your hair. It will also make you laugh, melt you, and touch your heart. It was beautiful, heart-stopping, engaging, and incredible.
Don't Lie to Me can be read as a standalone, it's told from Avner and Emma's POV, they get their happily-ever-after, and I really hope that Ms. Bardan writes more books in this series because can't wait to see what happens next!

This is the third book in the Bad For You Series by the very talent and wicked-minded Amber Bardan. I met Avner in book one when he helped Haithem and Angelina get away from the baddies threatening to kill them.
In this tale, we dig deeper into who Avner is, his past, his predilections, and his overwhelming desire for the blonde bombshell who smiled seductively at him one night on a balcony.
Avner is a dark, intense, rich as hell man with a tragic yet uplifting past. He is haunted by his demons and determined to exorcise them no matter what it takes. He is as sexy as hell, and honestly, who doesn’t love a wealthy, brooding, experienced lover?
Emma is all about immediate gratification, and she wants Avner like nothing else she’s ever seen. I like that she is independent, brilliant, and laser-focused on her work—with a few detours to Hot Sex Town with Avner.
While the tone of the book was dark, it wasn’t as intense as I’d hope it would be. I guess I am a little into intense, dark, and possessive these days.
I didn’t like that Avner, like Haithem before him, just let the woman he wanted walk away in some sort of dumbass attempt to keep her safe. It didn’t work with Haithem and Angelina, and it didn’t work with Emma. No one is safe with these men around, in the bedroom or in the world of assassins and corporate sabotage.
Overall this book sucked me in, made me suck my lip in yearning, and kept me hot, bothered, and at the edge of my seat from the very first page. Again, well done, Amber. Please give me more sexy, brooding men to fall in love with!

Determined that she will not offer herself to him again, and is determined to push forward with her research. But Avner is back and determined to protect and take care of her…and he manages to get under her skin, and she wants him to stay there forever!
But both Emma and Avner are hiding big secrets, that could cost them everything! And when they are revealed, you are left hoping they both suvive!!!
I cannot put too finer point on just how much I LOVE this series! I honestly thought the first two books were brilliant! (and they are), but Don't Lie To Me is even better! It's truly magnificent!!
You can tell the author really researched all the medical and educational aspects to make the plot outstanding! It was detailed, thrilling, gripping. And although I knew Avner's and Emma's character from the first 2 books in the Bad For You series!, I didn't realize the extent to which I would end up loving them in the 3rd book!
Now, I will hesitantly say that you could read this without reading the other two books in the series, but I urge you not too, as they really set up book 3 to perfection!
I give Don't Lie To Me 5 (should be 100) stars!!

4.5 Mysterious Stars! This is the third book in the Bad For You Series. I read it as a standalone but you might be better off reading the first two books prior to this one to better understand the story. Emma is an inspiring inventor and is working on a project that can save countless lives, if only she can find someone to invest in it. Avner is a wealthy owner of a technology company and has a reputation of possibly being a criminal. Avner is Emma's best friends husband's friend and the two have a chance meeting. Avner and Emma have an undeniable attraction towards one another but Avner tries to keep the relationship platonic. Soon there is a dangerous threat made againist Emma and Avner knows he must protect her. Will Emma be able to understand the secrets and lies that Avner keeps? I was on the edge of my seat and kept turning the pages wanting to know the answer to my questions. The author writes a well-written novel full of suspense, action, and mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and felt all their emotions! I look forward to where the author will go next! I highly recommend this book!

"Don't Lie to Me" by Amber Bardan is one heck of a ride! Emma, looking for some fun, meets Avner and decides that he'll be her fun. Well, the sparks ignite and it's so much more. But both characters have pasts that will threaten them. Can they overcome? Read it and find out! Emma is a strong heroine that truly just wants to be loved and cherished but feels that is beyond her reach. Avner is the ultimate Alpha and boy, is he sexy! Ms. Bardan has once again written a tale that has it all - there is mystery and intrigue, love and romance, sex and heat. While this is not a sweet and cutesy read, it certainly got my attention from the start and never let go. This is book three of the series, although I don't think it is absolutely necessary to read the first, I would highly recommend them. Ms. Bardan has a knack of reaching into the reader's mind and taking them on a rollercoaster ride that is thrills galore. (received copy for honest review)

the 3rd book in this series. Featuring Emma amd Avner. A high octane -fast paced book. Full of secrets, passion and suspense.This book can be read alone but you will enjoy the others. ..They are filled with great characters that will keep your intrest page after page.
