Yes, I generally steer clear of things like this...but spending three morning commutes with Sylvia Boorstein was delightful. I generally think of people who lecture or write books about "mindfulness" as without humor. What I loved most about Boorstein was her ability to make me laugh out loud more than once while giving me a lot to think about. Her voice is calming, her message is clear, and I realized that I'm often more "mindful" than I realize.
I'll definitely listen to this again, although I do find myself apologizing to her ("Sorry, Sylvia...that guy's a jerk!") when I observe bad behavior on the road. She is such a kindhearted soul--she likes to wonder what is going on in a person's life to make him/her cut her off or drive badly; I, frankly, don't care, but just want the person off the road--that I can only aspire to attain a particle of her outlook. I look forward to spending more time with her!
