Dante is a skin artist, a murderer, and a healer. Hired by a religious couple to troubleshoot a barren marriage, he sets out to bring the miracle they crave. But disturbing secrets arise about the couple and Dante's protocols take a dark turn in response.

I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

CLAW...The first book in this series and I absolutely love it! I can't wait to see where this story takes us. When I first read about this book I knew it would keep me reading till the last page, and that it did! So glad Mr. Bane will release a book in this series each week. Must read awesomeness!!!!
MAY HAVE A LITTLE SPOILER.. When I first read the teaser about this new series of books, I was very fascinated about the storyline. It sounded like a book that I could wrap myself in... and it certainly does! I liked the way the story began, giving me some background on Dante.. It gave me a great understanding of WHO this man was, WHERE he came from and WHY and WHAT he has become... When I read about Rin.. at first I didn't know what to make of her but the more I read the more I understood, the more she evoked my curiosity. Her story is a painful one that seized my heart... the kind of life she led, if you can call it that, is honestly so unloving so unkind...I just felt for her. With Dante's decision to help her, to make her feel desire, beauty, kindness.. to help her see the worth inside of her, has me wondering HOW he will achieve this. I know I can't wait to find out. I am so craving more of this story.. wanting to see where it will go.. A honest to goodness fantastic read!
This is a first of 6 novellas of the series and it is impressive. Lucian manages to develop characters in this short novella better then so many authors do in whole long books!! This is no simple feat to engage readers so fast with so much depth of feeling and understanding of the path that brought the character to this point. You are brought into this beautifully detailed story, with Rin and Dante as they reveal to you so much, from his skin art and how that came to be, her abuse both physical and mental. It should be amazing to see how Lucian develops this story in his keeping us guessing and on the edge of our seats ways of his!! I am so invested in this story already after a short novella!!! I cannot wait for the next part to come out.
Claw is a 6 part series by Lucian Bane, who has never disappointed me yet. This first book introduces us to "Claw" AKA as Dante. Rin, a wife of a prominent church deacon who is made to believe she is sick and needs help. She has been brainwashed mentally and physically and Dante comes into her life at the right time. My heart goes out to her and her innocence and confusion and I can't WAIT to see what Dante does to that miserable low life Daryl. Looking forward to seeing where their relationship goes and how Dante opens her eyes into believing that she is worthy of so much more.
Claw was one of those books that made you say, “WOW, I want more”. This is the first book in a 6 part series about a convict trying to help out a strange married couple with having a child. It sweeps quickly past Dante’s prison years to tell you what kind of person he is and throws you head first into how he becomes involved with this couple. With a heck of a cliffhanger, Lucian Bane leaves you in anticipation for the next book in the series. Definitely a must read!
Claw is a new 6 part novella series by Author Lucian Bane. Once again this author has impressed me with his work. This packs a punch for being a novella. The characters and story line are are so developed right from the start that it has you on an emotional roller coaster right until the end.
Rin, Dante (Claw) and Daryl are the three main characters. I found myself feeling heartbroken for Rin and her situation, scared to come to terms with what she is feeling inside. I was cheering on Dante all the way for the way he turned his life around and for staying true to his feelings on helping Rin become the woman she longs and deserves to be. And finally I was quite angry (putting it nicely) at the church deacon and Rin’s husband, Daryl. I don’t think I have disliked a character as much as I dislike Daryl in quite a long time. I was literally swearing out loud at my reader. Daryl truly disgusts me. I want to squish him like a bug. How a man can treat a woman like that all in the name of religion is beyond my understanding. I truly look forward to seeing what will happen to him.
Claw is a unique read and I feel we are in for a lot more surprises and some dark times ahead. Traits I feel that Lucian Bane excels in when it comes to his writing. I have never wanted a week to go by as fast as I do now. I am truly looking forward to the next installment.
Where do I begin? Do I mention how the foundation for the characters is masterfully laid? Or do I tell you about how the hero isn't at first glance seen as the hero, but is given redeeming qualities that make you embrace him as the hero. I should mention that this the first of a six part series. Not to worry. You only have a few short days to wait for the next part. The way this ended was not annoying. It ended at a natural conclusion and not in the middle of a scene or thought. But don't think that I'm not anxiously awaiting the next part. I would be remiss not to mention the chemistry between Rin and Claw. I'm so looking forward to finding out where this chemistry will lead. If you are looking for a read with intrigue and steamy scenes then you have found it!! You definitely don't want to miss out!!
this was crazy as hell-not at all what i was expecting. I liked Dante, though I had questions The husband was just beyond anything in asshattery I have ever witnessed. Hope there might be some death coming his way. I felt badly for Rin, but also got frustrated with her stupidity, or maybe that's not fair-she's not stupid, she's brainwashed and weak. It did get frustrating, to listen to her defending some of this whack shit. i will read the next one.
It took me a few pages to really start enjoying Claw. In the beginning it was about who Dante was and where he is now and how he got there. Which is expected to understand a character, but to me I just wanted to get past that part. Just my opinion. It was more interesting to understand who Rin is as a character and her husband Dayrl. I got butterflies in my stomach as I continued to read. It was getting more suspenseful as to what Dante was discovering about Daryl and what he was truly doing to his wife. Once Dante figured out on how Daryl was treating Rin,he made it his mission to help her become a sexual, sensual, beautiful, sexy goddess. Towards the end was super HOT!! He gave Rin her first orgasm by just simply touching her erogenous zones by massage. To me, that was a steamy scene and got me very Hot!! I cant wait to see what happens next. I'm pretty sure it's going to get even Hotter and continue with the suspense of what's to come with Daryl and what Dante will do to him. Also it will be very interesting to see how Rin transforms out of the brainwashing her husband has done and what she will do. Great job Lucian!!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Starts off with Dante scared, walking into jail at 17. A guy named Tin Tin decides he'll take him under his protection. He allows Dante to get the crap beat out of him by 10 guys before pulling him out. Tin Tins 1st lesson. 15 yrs is a flash in here . Once you get out of here, you'll face the real enemy,,,,( your self.) 3 things Tin Tin taught him, how not to die, to think and to live when he gets out. Oh and the Bible lessons were a must. I love how the author called Tin Tin devine intervention..
Dante seems to be paying it forward and also a Jack of lots of trades. One, is being a holistic healer. He's called for a job to help a wife who can't get pregnant. The husband will pay anything and tells him to go and stay in his guest house and help the wife ( Rin ). Dante is not comfortable with this without the husband ( Daryl ) being there. But decides he needs the money too much to decline.
I loved this ,,,on top of being a Christian myself and dealing with religious people VERSES loving the Lord. Religious people use the religion to judge, to hide their owns sins. GREAT START TO A NEW SERIES.
Well if this is the start of a new 6 part series, i can't wait until it really gets going, one book a week will be released for the next 6 weeks. Love the back story to Dante, where he came from, where he's at now. Dante gets "employed" by Daryl to "sort out his wife" Rin, who, in his opion is a bad wife who needs to repent as she cannot concieve which he need her to do to enable him to stay in a high place within the church. Rin has been so emotionally abused, is it to late for Dante to heal and save her, will the husband get what's coming to him ?, oh i do hope so !!!. Can't wait for next week for the second instalment, as usual Mr Bane you have us on tender hooks waiting for the next release, loving this already :)
Another dose of exceptional writing from an author that keeps me in need of more words. This story will have you entranced from the first page. Although this book is short in length it does not lack in the storyline but has the same depth and captivating writing as any of his full length books. I fell quickly into the plot and enjoyed every word, sentence, paragraph and chapter. I am so ready for the next installment and the continuation of this story so I can continue the journey with these characters.
I got lost in "CLAW". Lost in another batch of perfectly blended magic by Lucian Bane. I knew this was just Part 1 in this 6 part series but I was still angry when I came to the last page. 'What?!?! Wait?!?! Nooo!!!' Hahaha So superbly did he lure me in. So quickly did I go from 'OK there ok' to 'oh hell nooooo!' I love being manipulated with words. Being led down a road before knowing your even being lead. Such a Sweet type of Almost Painful DOMINANCE Mr. Bane has over his willing readers.
WOW, I'm never disappointed in what Lucian Bane writes and this is definitely one of those examples. This is the first part of six and I'm thoroughly engrossed, can't stop reading, can't wait to see what's going to happen next with Dante, Rin and the testing.
This has a bunch of triggers so please be aware of that if you are considering reading this book.
This is the story of a boy who made a mistake. He does his time and he gets out of prison. The man who is released is very different to the boy who entered.
Dante is really a pretty decent sort of guy. He's tried a lot things and learned a lot of things, both inside and outside of prison. He is working hard to keep a roof over his head and keep his bills paid. As I'm sure you can imagine, this is no easy feat, especially for a man who has spent more of his life behind bars than in the 'real' world. Still, he does his best to stay on the straight and narrow and you can't help but respect him for that. One of jobs that he took a stab at was as a holistic healer. It is in this capacity that he meets the story's REAL protagonist. In steps Daryl Bernard, a creepy religious freak, that I instantly despised. Daryl has a wife who has not been able to become pregnant in their seven years of marriage. He calls Dante in the hopes that he will be able to heal whatever is 'wrong' with his wife so that they can have a child. Seems pretty normal so far..... However, what follows is a very interesting story of love gone wrong, of power and control and the abuse of religious doctrine. Rin Bernard is really a nice woman. She is married to an overbearing tool of a husband, but due to her religious beliefs, she would never consider the idea of divorcing him. Every month for seven years she and her husband have tried for a baby. All the test results indicate that she should be able to fall pregnant and yet she doesn't. She is made to feel like a failure as a woman and a failure as a wife. She is filled with feelings of self loathing and self doubt. She is afraid and in spite of being married, she is really very much alone. Dante ends up in the middle of this relationship from hell, trying to discover the truth from the lies and what the real reason is behind the fertility problems going on. In the beginning, he is very focused on trying to help this couple to conceive a child. It is what he is being paid for after all. What he discovers to be the real issue behind that failure, is not at all what he expected. And the ultimate outcome will have you yelling at your e-reading device and probably wanting to kill someone, although that may just be me.
I can't say that I was at all surprised by the ending, because I wasn't. This was a well thought out, well written, thought provoking story that I thoroughly enjoyed. It does contain violence, acts of aggression and rape, so you are sensitive to these things, this not your story. For me however, I have been left gasping in fury at the ending, and wanting more. This was my first book from Lucian Bane, it will not be my last.
Claw is the first book of of a new 6 book series by Lucian Bane, in which we'll get a new book every week. (Yay!) In this first book, we're introduced to the main character Dante, an ex convict, aka "Claw", his prison name. He is a tattoo/skin artist, and a holistic healer. He gets hired by Daryl, a "prominent church deacon", to treat his wife Rin, who has been unable to get pregnant. Rin turns out to be an innocent, sweet, somewhat eccentric woman, who has always tried her best to be a good wife, but feels very isolated and has been made to feel that the reason she's unable to get pregnant is because of her "sins". Because "all sickness and suffering comes from sin." You start to really feel for Rin, who has not seen much kindness or affection, and has been made to feel like everything is her fault. To me, this book had a slightly different feel from his other books, but it definitely piques your interest. I can't wait to see where Lucian takes us in this story! There are alot of things that I want to see happen, but I can't really say without giving away too much....you definitely need to read it!!
Dante, Dante, Dante. I love you. This story was not what I thought it would be. When you think of a character who is in prison for murder - a gang murder - you don't think he is this super religious, holistic healer with a heart of gold. Sure he's got his dark side that's just lurking beneath the surface, which we got a sneak peak at in the ending and probably will see more in book 2, but he is gentle and caring too. Rin was sweet but was a pushover when it came to her disgusting, POS husband (I hope that man gets what he deserves and then some!). She can't help her feelings for Dante but tries her hardest to push them aside. You can see the burning hot lava bubbling whenever they are together and it's just a matter of time before the volcano erupts and that lava spills over. Their chemistry left me panting...I mean reallyyyy. Dante is one smooth guy and I can't wait for him to show Rin what a true love could and should be. I highly recommend this book and I'm off to continue on to number 2 now.
Claw will sink into you and make you want MORE Lucian Bane does it again with this 6 part series. He has a talent for weaving a tale even when it's novella length. We meet Claw and a bit of backstory while he's still incarcerated. Through guidance of a mentor in jail, he learns how to live in the outside world.
When he reaches the outside, he goes by Dante, and manages to pick up a job as a healer. He receives what seems to be a desperate call from Daryl stating that his wife, Rin, needs healing - they have been unsuccessful at getting pregnant for years.
So what's so interesting about a couple trying to get pregnant? Well, you'll just have to read...Daryl and Rin are not quite what they seem. There is some definite odd dysfunction happening here, and our hero Dante will surely figure out the best course of action.
As always...Mr. Bane's books are a must read! Don't think, just go get Claw.
Rin is married to this religious zealot who wants a baby. Her husband Daryl Bernard. He hires Dante Samuel Baston (Claw) to help him with his wife (Rin) because she has a “condition”. And, that is all you are going to get out of me. You will need to read this book.
I actually felt this could happen in real life which is a little creepy if you ask me. Lucian Bane tells this story so well that you will be hunting for a way to buy the next book Claw 2 immediately once you finish Claw. And, thankfully Claw 2 came out today! Here is the link: https://gumroad.com/l/IPdAs# Because once you get to the end of Claw you will be trying to find where to buy this book! I couldn’t find it on Amazon and I think it is only available through this link.
5 STARS for Claw! I want to say I loved the book but, then would that make me creepy. I hope not. I can’t wait to get started on Claw 2 that is now sitting on my Kindle!
OK Mr.Lucian bane u fucking did it again the magical scribbler hit the ball out the park I mean way out this book holy fucking sheep shit Dante I think I love you the man screams sex appeal total bad ass Jesus i mean what didn't he have and Rin is the type of girl you take home to mom marry and have 2.5 kids with she had at times a badass attitude also but she was more quiet and reserve I just loved everything about her and the plot oh my god man suspense and romance with a twist I can't wait to read the second book I'm a Lucian fan and I just love everything he writes in all his books he makes the characters and plot just come alive its like I'm right next to who ever is speaking or what might be going on at the moment this is a must read Im not good a writing reviews I just hope this helps
Claw is the former prison name for Dante Baston, self professed scar-tat artist, holistic healer, mechanic, general jack of all trades. Dante is asked by super religious, church leader, Daryl to heal his barren, eccentric wife, Rin. With trepidation, Dante accepts and goes to the home to meet the wife but everything is not as it seems nor as it should be.
This is the first book of a 6 part weekly serial. Mr. Bane has set the stage for what appears will be a dark, mysterious, spiritual tale with an unlikely hero taking on an unholy dragon to save the fair maiden. Can't wait to see where this path leads as I'm sure it will have many twists, turns and surprises that will make me want each Tuesday to come that much quicker.
Dante is a convicted murderer set free after years in prison. Now a body artist and holistic healer. He takes a job to help a religious couple thinking the wife had mental and probable health issues . What he finds out is, Rin the wife , doesn't have the problems he thought . He is now determined to set her free from everything she has been wrongly taught and open her eyes and heart to a whole new world . The question is..... Will she accept it completley ??? Will she let her desires be fullfilled ?? Dante is determined to explore with her but how is going to Work with the evil and cruel husband beating her down . I can't wait to find out what comes next . This book just starts to get hot and the anticipation for the next is killing me ....hurry Lucian , I need More Claw.
I am a big fan of Lucian Bane an was not disappointed in book one of this new trilogy CLAW.
This is a story of a woman, Rin, who is suffering, unhappy and with no self worth and Dante and ex con who is hired by Rin's husband, Daryl, to help her conceive. Daryl is a self righteous prick who does nothing but abuse his wife in the name of GOD.
Lucian introduces the characters by giving us the backstory and giving you the feeling that you know them intimately. I felt Rin's pain and Dante's anger and his need to "fix" her. This is a book you don't want to miss. You'll not put it down once you start and be begging for book 2.
You can't go wrong with books by this author and this is no exception! Dante you meet and hear about his past being in prison and now that he's out and trying to make his way. One day someone contacts him about healing his wife who isn't getting pregnant. Dante goes to see her and finds out that not everything is the way the husband made it seem.
Once again the detail and description in the book make you feel like you're there with the characters. This is the 1st part of a serial and can't wait to get to the next book and find out what happens next!
At first I was thanking it was going to be all about Dante telling his story. But Rin picked it up and it was like seeing her life coming alive. And then the last left me on the edge craving for More. Can't wait 2 more days for book 2. Lucian Bane
After getting a teasing glimpse of the depth of each of the characters and the introduction to the story; I find myself pulled in and wanting to know more about what motivates the characters and how the story progresses. I'm looking forward to each installment of the story by this passionate and talented author.
Dante is a skin artist, a murderer, and a healer. Hired by a religious couple to troubleshoot a barren marriage, he sets out to bring the miracle they crave. But disturbing secrets arise about the couple and Dante's protocols take a dark turn in response.
Lucian wrote an amazing story and I cant wait to read the rest of this 6 part series. This book was amazing and I could not put it down.
I didn't loathe it, but I didn't like it either. Religious erotica tends to go that way for me, I only gave it a go because I loved the first few Dom Wars books.
Sadly, it left me cold and frowning, I couldn't care less what happens next so I'll pass on the rest of the series.
Not the best way to start my day that's for sure *sighs*
As always I was sucked on from page 1. I absolutely love how this story is coming together. Of course Lucian is excellent with leaving you with a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
