I enjoyed reading "Where Do You Live, Animal Friend?"Where Do You Live, Animal Friend? very much. Laura Bullock writes an easy to access, educational and fun book for young children. Each page comes with rhymes about an animal and its home while educating the reader about the appearance and natural habitat of the animal. The pages are beautifully illustrated with a different animal in its home by illustrator Izzy Bean.
Children will be moved by the illustrations and gentle poetry of Laura Bullock. It is a sweet, enjoyable children's book that adults will want to read to their children again and again. Reading this book made me look into Bullock's other books as well.

Pairing sweet rhymes with playful illustrations, this is a learning book that is also fun to read for young children (ages 3-5).
The characters have lovable expressions and the pictures sneak in interesting details to look at; all things that capture the attention of your little ones. My favorites are the big eyed firefly with the vintage pilot’s helmet and the spider sporting many sunglasses! I also like the use of modern metaphors to explain nature in an easy way. The shell of the hermit crab is a “mobile home” and the firefly’s light is a “flashlight”.
The story chooses animals that are familiar as well as a few that are a bit different. I’ve read a lot of picture books as a mom and don’t remember ever seeing a book that had a purple frog before!
This book is also put together in a very professional manner. Coordinating colours pair the text pages, the writing and the illustrations together nicely. Plus the words are in a large and very easy to read style, adding to the enjoyment of the experience!
I would recommend this book for night time fun, with a little learning thrown in! Well done.

This book is charming. It is about where different animals live and is told in rhyme. It has simple rhymes that are perfect for reading to children from birth to five years old.
The design of the book is excellent. The pictures draw your eye in and they have an element of humor that can be discussed with the child by the adult reader. The child will enjoy looking at the pictures. I know that I enjoyed looking at them. The pages with the rhymes have repeating themes on them ants, worms, etc, and these add to the books attractiveness.
In places the rhymes are a little awkward and forced. I mention this because children this young like to sing things. So if the rhyme had a more regular rhythm, the children could sing about where animals live.
I give it a four out of a possible five. It is my hope that Laura will continue to write and design books so we can see her develop.

This was a very cute story about lots of different animals and where they live. My six year old son was a bit old for this story but it was perfect for my four year old.
The illustrations were wonderful and very colorful. Both my kids loved looking at each page. In fact the flipped through for a good 30 minutes talking about what they saw on each page. The kids loved so I highly recommend.
