small and informative guide to growing stuff in our part of the country

I moved to Phoenix last year and my housemate wants to make above ground planters and plant veggies for our enjoyment and health. He retired and he has kept busy puttering around in the yard. Since the climate here is much different from Ohio where we moved from and also Florida where he spent a good number of years we have been reading up on desert gardening. This was a fairly short book but very informative with some great charts in the appendixes. We shall see how helpful as I follow Cromell's instructions.

Great info and really geared towards the unique circumstances of desert gardening. Regular gardening books just don't apply to us desert rats. :)

Quick read. I read it in one sitting and took lots of notes.
