The book is not about training, but it is. This book was not written about business but it was. This book was not compiled to help you better your relationships, but it could be. This book was not written as a road map to help you achieve your goals, but it ended up that way. This book was written to show you that you already have all you need to achieve success in anything you choose to do. You just need to know where to look.
Founder EliteFTS, Q/A Staff, Powerlifting, Personal Training
Dave Tate is the founder and CEO of EliteFTS, staffed by experienced professionals dedicated to providing strength coaches, athletes and trainers with the highest-quality equipment, personalized service and extensive knowledge needed to advance their training programs.
Dave has been involved with powerlifting for more than two and a half decades as a world-class participant, coach and consultant. He has logged more than 10,000 hours of personal training and strength consulting sessions with professional, elite and novice athletes, as well as with professional and university strength coaches. He holds Elite status in powerlifting (in three weight classes) with best lifts of a 935 squat, 740 deadlift, 610 bench press and 2,205 total.
I read this because of my interest in the sport of powerlifting, but even if you've never have any desire to get into that - or any other sport for that matter - there are a lot of life lessons and thoughts in this book that I think would be valuable to almost anyone. Dave Tate has lived a dedicated and focused life, not without it's share of challenges, and I think everyone could learn from this.
Not a training book but more of a self help principles book. the info can be found in other books probably better organized but this has a strength training theme throughout which is a little different.
Dave is a legend in the powerlifting world and EliteFTS is a great company. This book is a great read for any young lifter but got a little repetitive.
