Wow this series keep getting better and better! I thought this was the last one but it ended with a cliffhanger -- how long do I have to wait for book 4?!

Another great installment in Ruby's story, but I must say I was a bit frustrated when I got to the end of this one (number 3) and the story was still not finished.

I was not ready for this book to end. I sincerely hope there will be another one in this series VERY soon.
I was not familiar in the least with WW 2 history. So, in reading this book, I became very curious with its historical accuracy. I found a website that pretty much parallels this story. I am amazed at how accurately the author told this story, and so completely sickened by the evil we humans can inflict upon each other. Anyway, I highly suggest this book! Just keep a box of tissues close at hand.

I'm SO Done!
And so, Book 3 continued quickly downhill. What little Scripture there is in this book, Beautiful, as is God's Word. I'm so weary of Ruby Grace Doyle's little faith, God Is quite busy in her foolish life and she misses most of this Gift in search of personal perfection, more more and more from Our Giving God. You can only drag readers through so many books with hanging endings. I gave this one star so I could review the book. I'm so disappointed and So Done with this book series and further offerings from this writer; I'm sure she means well but much growth is needed in my opinion.

Another beautifully written story by Jennifer H. Westall. Saving Grace is the third book in this series and continues to follow Ruby, Henry and Matthew as they try to move forward with their lives only to find themselves intertwined in one another's lives. This is a story of loss, hope, love and survival. It is hard not to read this story and get swept into all the emotions, trials and tribulations that the characters are enduring. This series is one of my all time favorites. I can't wait to see what is in store for all of the characters in the next book! Great job Jennifer H. Westall!!

Loved all 3 of the healing ruby series , just ended with a cliffhanger... Knowing theres more to this series than meets the eye.
I chose this rating because its a very great spiritual series. Would love to read more. It definitely needs a better ending it kinda left you on your seat waiting to see what's going to happen next. Hopefully there is a 4 to this series to end it properly.

Great storytelling!
When reading this book it's like I was there in person. The author painted a great picture with words. I have really enjoyed all three books in this series.

I didn't think it could get better but the Healing Ruby series does and the detail is amazing. I loved it, the grit, the faith, the struggle... It's all possible...It's all possible...Loved it

Heart-wrenching and suspenseful
I think I waited too long to get this third book of the Healing Ruby series. I had forgotten quite a bit of what happened in Breaking Matthew and had to go back and review some of it.
This picks up with Matthew Doyle, as well as Henry and Ruby Graves a few years after the events in book two. World War II has started in Europe, and speculation about a possible Japanese attack ended with the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
Henry, a military pilot, is serving in the Philippines, where Ruby (now calling herself Grace Miller and posing as Henry’s cousin to protect her identity) is volunteering at a missionary hospital. Matthew is stationed there and eventually spots Ruby, whom he thought was dead. Chaos and deprivation ensue as war comes to the tropical paradise. Ruby faces her own battle with a jealous, vindictive rival for Matthew’s affection who blackmails her, threatening to tell everyone Grace Miller is actually a convicted murderer.
This book is realistic, compelling and suspenseful, revealing the horrors of war and the sacrifices made by those who fought for our freedom in World War II. Whether you read it for the romance, suspense, history or faith elements, this is definitely worth the investment of time. Just be prepared to miss some sleep or set aside some other activities when you get to the last few chapters, because you may not want to put it down!

This is the riveting third book in the Healing Ruby Series.
I've had the privilege of experiencing all of these, through the audio version. Absolutely a must-read story!
Ruby has gone through so much already.
Now, in this book, she is working as a nurse in the Philippine Islands, and is caught in the middle of the terribleness of WWII. (Be forewarned--there is much detail included here, regarding the war, it might be a bit much for some readers. Nothing too graphic, but yet, that war was so awful, and must be described as such!)
The author wrote this novel in a very authentic way, staying true to historical facts as much as possible. I really knew little to nothing prior to reading this book, about what those nurses experienced there in that terrible place and time in history.
Ruby is as caring and generous as ever.
Matthew! Yes, they meet again (whew!). So much heartache and baggage to work through.
Her brother Henry.
If you've read the earlier ones, you will feel compelled to continue reading their saga. And if you get a chance, be sure and listen to the audio version--it absolutely enhances the story!

Heartbreaking!
I have read books one, two and now the third in this series.
Saving Ruby was heartbreaking but a book that I learned a lot from. I felt my heart pounding while I would almost have to hold my breath to see what would happen next. Matthew and Ruby's story is wonderful!
Each character's personality was amazing and I felt like I knew each one. Descriptions of the hospitals and surrounding areas were described so well I felt like I knew how they felt when they would go over a little hill or go to the trees to hide or go into a trench.
If you want to read a touching story that makes you feel like you are there read this series. I don't think I will ever forget this whole story from the first to the last.
I can't wait to get started on the fourth book. Matter of fact I have already bought #4.

Loved it!
Wonderful characters, excellent storyline, and Ruby and Matthew back together again. But, as usual, the ending leaves you longing for answers. Can't wait to read the next one! I love the Christian theme and wish more authors would write with little or no profanity, and emphasize Christ.

Bittersweet
Saving Grace was very well written and moved along with some unexpected and expected events. I really appreciated no cursing, no sexual content and no liberal lifestyles. However, I caught myself getting frustrated at ruby for being foolish and taking her "goodness" to the extreme. I suggest more putting God first and less putting ruby's desires first.

Couldn't put it down!
I loved this third book of the Healing Ruby Series as much as I did the first two. I didn't want to reach the end, and yet I couldn't put it down. The faith in God shown by the main characters has been inspiring. 'Can't wait for the next one.

A great read
The story was so realistic i found it hard to believe it was fiction.
I hung on every word and stayed up late reading because I could not put it down.
One of the best I have ever read.

Loved these books, I'm reading them for the 2nd time. I like reading books from this era and the author just brings it to life. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone!!

A perfect mix of the horrors of war and the blessing of faith!
Book 3 of the Healing Ruby series does not disappoint as the story travels to the Philippines during World War II. The historical references are sound and the scripture speaks to your soul!

Great historical read!
So far, #3 is my favorite! I loved the history related to WWII and I am now inspired to read some of the books Jennifer lists that she used for reference. Finally.....Matthew and Ruby stop being so stubborn and submit to God and one another!

Ends with another cliff hanger so now I need to read #4 in this series. Setting in the Philippines during WW2. I didn’t realize all the atrocities that occurred there. Good read.

The third book in this series was gut-wrenching. It helped me feel the utter horror of war (without being extremely graphic) along with the strong spirits of those who were in the midst of terror, attack, and trauma. There were beautiful moments, horrific moments, completely unpredictable moments...the entire book was highly emotional and highly suspenseful. Definitely read the first two before reading this one--it is grippingly powerful because we know what happened in the past with Ruby, Matthew, and Henry.
