my first maigret novel (B2 adapted text) - it was a surprisingly easy read.
i think maigret lacks that little je ne sais quoi for me to be fully onboard with him as a character (i prefer my detectives somewhat hercule poirot shaped if you must know) but it was an interesting quick novel all the same. though take my words with a pinch of salt cuz i dont read a lot of crime novels. i dont see myself reading all of maigret books but maybe the top 5? we'll see.

A not too difficult B2 read (I've had more difficulty with some A2 books), and a good start to reading Maigret in French, which I'm looking forward to narrow reading.

In Montmartre zijn verschillende vrouwen vermoord. Maigret zet een val om de moordenaar te pakken! Net zo belangrijk is het voor hem om erachter te komen wat er zich in zijn/haar hoofd heeft afgespeeld.

In dit B2 boek komt behalve de imparfait nu ook de passé simple voor. Wat het vocabulaire betreft, is het niveau volgens mij lager want ik kan het verhaal goed volgen.
