While it is impossible to cover every aspect and trend in healthy living, a book on nutrition (especially a contemporary one) has to address the emerging reasearch coming to light in terms of body alkalinity and its impacts on health. At one extreme, if the impacts of acidity on overall health are true, many other efforts at nutritional eating are minimized or possibly even eliminated.

I would also liked to have seen at least some discussion of the interactions of nutrition and exercise on healthy living. Uneducated readers can come to the conclusion that nutrition is a sufficient condition for healthy living, and without exercise, it is not. Nutrition does very little, on it own for cardiac vascular development which is a necessary condition for healthy living.

This book has a lot of good information. There are a ton of pictures, charts and stories relating to each chapter. The analysis section can get wordy and seem more complicated than it really is.
