I definitely did not have any clue what I was getting myself into when I started reading this book! This book starts with Gabriella still mourning her devastating loss. Then she meets Edward and Liam. I am still reeling from how beautiful this story is. Despite how emotional this story was, I was sucked in immediately from the beginning for Gabriella's journey. You can't help but cheer for her as she starts to heal and believe that she has in her to love again. It also made me realize how important it is to find yourself again after a particularly hard loss before you even begin to heal.

The writing style was perfect for the pace of the story. The plot was easy to follow and maintained a good pace from start to finish.

This was a beautiful story of love, growth, and a journey to self-discovery.

Oh, and make sure you have a tissue box handy....you'll thank me later ;)

This was a novel that really helps you just escape and enjoy someone else’s life for a bit. Isn’t that the best part of reading? You get to experience someone else’s life and feel their emotions with them. I enjoyed Anne Marie Citro’s writing style. It was easy to follow and kept a steady pace throughout. Characterization is important and I felt like Gabriella was a compelling character to read about. I understood her actions and decisions for the most part. The gentlemen she had in her life both had different positive influences on her life. I think that ultimately they helped her grow and there was a bit of a decision she had to make. It’s not anything that will completely shock you and it does have a predictable romance, but I enjoyed it all the same.

I am absolutely floored by how absolutely emotionally beautiful this story is. This story is absolutely incredible from the beginning to the end. It takes a lot in a story to make me tear up but tears were flowing by the end of this story. It’s a very emotionally heavy story but it’s absolutely stunning. The author did such a great job writing the story.
You’ll laugh, you’ll likely cry, you’ll swoon, and your heart will break. It’s a mixture of absolutely beautifully raw emotions. It’s full of love and laughter. It’s a fun read and a serious read. It’s a story of an absolute tragedy that becomes a beautiful love story. It’s about finding yourself and figuring out what makes you happy. It’s absolute perfection.
I have to admit, this story really took me back to some dark days in my past. It reminded me of a huge loss that I suffered and brought back memories of the attempts and failures at healing. It also reminded me of how important it was to reach deep inside and find yourself and let others be there and let them love you. I think that the author did such a great job writing these scenes. She took great care in describing these scenes and relating to her audience.
Details and descriptions are perfect. They set the scenes for perfect visualization and the ability to disappear into the story. They give you enough detail to visualize what’s going on but leave out just enough detail to allow you to add your own little details. The scenery sounds absolutely beautiful. It makes a girl want to go on a vacation!
I think my absolute favorite part of this book was how strong the bond of family was. It didn’t matter whether they were blood family or not. Family was family and that bond was unbreakable. It was a fierce relationship and a relationship to dream of. I think that message is one of the most important messages that an author can portray to their readers!
If you couldn’t tell, I absolutely adored this book. I adored the writing style, the characters, the descriptions, and details. There wasn’t anything about this book I didn’t enjoy. The characters were great and had a fierce bond. The details made me want to go on vacation. The author is an amazing writer that can really reach out to their readers and burrow herself into our hearts.

This is one wonderful book and needs to come with the
box of tissues. It starts with a horrible loss. That is dealt
with so well. This is so well-written and so beautify told.
I cannot wait to read more by Anne Marie Citro.

What an amazing story of loss and love. Yes that is right
this book starts with loss and then finds love. And deals
with how badly it can affect you. It starts with Gabriella
being found on a rock on the side of the loch. Shivering
in the cold rain as lost as one can be. And she has totally
given up on life. And even though Edward and Liam are
helping Gabriella she is helping them heal as well. Now
this book is not a ménage story. So you can forget that
right now. She only falls for one and I do mean one of the
men the other is like a brother to her. And he is the best
kind of brother too. When tragedy strikes they are all
thrown, but rally to help each other thought it. And by
going though it they all become closer together and
Gabriella even helps her new brother find love again.
I won’t say how but you will be so happy when he finds
love again. This book had me laughing at Edwards antics.
And god how I fell in love with twins. As well I so how you
Even though she thought she was saving her but she not
only saved Liam but Edward learned truly what love was.
do too. And now she may have lost her love but has found
one as well.

Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope
you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this
book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors
really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.

Another romance that has more than romance. I love that. And I really enjoyed the multi-faceted layers to this story. The author has a way of writing that not only is detailed and brings the story to life, but you feel as though you are right there in the story watching it all take place. This story will grab your heart in the beginning so, all of those 'heart on the sleeve' people...grab a tissue! I honestly was planning on reading a few chapters of this before bed each night...I ended up loosing a nights sleep when I realized I had stayed up all night reading this. Very captivating. This story of love and loss, along with the characters, will grip you by the arm and will not let go until you finish the book. Very good read!

This is beyond just a Romance, it had real HEART. Anne Marie Citro has brought to life very multi-dimensional characters and given them a purpose.

The world she has created is so vivid and really helps the reader feel like they are there with the characters.

A strong and fast paced plot will keep you invested the entire way through.

This story managed to surprise me several times as well. I liked how balanced the characters were, I felt like each one served their own purpose and had a valid place in the novel.

What I found most endearing about 'Under Her Wings' is that even though Gabriella's story is brimming with heartache, there is also so much love and glimmers of hope during her time of healing. It is worth the read for personal growth alone, to come to accept the time it takes to heal following any negative circumstances, and the uplifting individuals one meets along the way. Anne Marie highlights both the highs and lows of each character so well that they will linger with you.

I can't say enough good things about this book! It was such an enjoyable read; the characters are so interesting and lovable, you can't help rooting for them, and I really enjoyed visiting Scotland through the author's and the character's eyes, it was enchanting. A sweet, sexy, interesting, heartfelt read...I honestly can't wait for the next instalment.

Emotional and so very deep.

Definitely some ups and downs with this story.

As far as the Romance went I was pleasantly surprised by how engaged I became in it.

Characterization was well done and the flow of the novel as a whole felt smooth.

Overall a solid Contemporary Romance.

I will say that the cover kind of feels more Paranormal to me than Contemporary.

This book was a fun ride from the beginning. I was hooked by the end of Chapter 1! The characters are so vividly described they feel real. Like you could see yourself being friends with them. Every time I put the book down, I wondered what adventure was next for Gabriella. What a beautiful name too. I have very few books that I go back and read a second time - this was one of them. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Under Her Wings begins with the author, Anne Marie Citro, presenting Gabriella; whose life has been a nightmare for the last three years. She has been desperately seeking someway to connect with her deceased husband and sons. Her last hope was a magical place in Scotland, where it is told you can talk to the dead. Her inability to cope with her despair brought Liam and Edward into her life. They diligently nursed her back emotionally and physically until she could function as a human again. Little did they know the wee lass they thought they were saving would become their salvation. She gave Liam the gift of forgiving his actions against Raven, and she gave Edward a friend and the love of his life.

Anne Marie Citro begins Under Her Wings with three broken people and uses their rock bottom to build upon. Words of encouragement and love throughout the book convey a hope in humanity that makes you feel enriched just witnessing unconditional friendship. Though Gabriella was the initial person needing healing and saving; I felt her activity using healing stones was brilliant. The Anne Marie did an excellent job portraying the healing processes needed to overcome failures made in a relationship. Death is final and forgiveness can no longer be sought, but the author illustrated the wisdom behind forgiving oneself and including loved ones who have gone on to continue their work in your life. It is an emotional ride as Gabriella’s story unfolds, the beauty of her life was rewarding.

FINALLY!!! lol

I have finally gotten to read the first book on this series. Finally got to see how it all started. I've been saying I was gonna do it, but hadn't and I finally thought, I've waited long enough. And just like with the other books, I was blown away.

When I started this one, I didn't know I would be getting two books in one, but bloody hell did I. I thought I loved the other sista's but that was because I hadn't met Gabriella yet. Wow was I missing out. Yea I got to see and hear little things about her in the other books, but actually reading her store, is something completely different.

Now I FINALLY know how Edward came to be and how he played a part in everything and becoming a sista. He is definitely something else.

Gabriella has had her perfect life, ripped right out of her hands, right before her eyes. Not knowing how to come back from that, she finds herself at her lowest low. Which is were Edward finds her. With him also being at the lowest point in his life, he sees a way to channel his energy into a different way. He see's a chance to save someone when he couldn't save himself. While Edward see's a heart to help mend, Liam, Edward's bodyguard, sees a future in her eyes. Both men quickly fall in love with her. She quickly falls in love with them.

With them each have gone through life altering experiences, it left them each having a heart that needing healing, that only each other them could offer the other.

3 hearts, 3 lifes, 1 goal. To find healing, love and trust in a world that has been surrounded by darkness.

The way they need each other. The way the love each other. The way the get on each other's nerves, is pretty amazing. I absolutely loved reading this one. I loved starting from the beginning. Even though I have read the others, I didn't have a problem jumping into this one and reading it. It honestly explained things better. lol

I am so glad I finally got a chance to read this one. It made me fall even more in love with this series and these characters than before. Which I didn't think was possible.

I loved so many aspects of this book. Being a Torontoian I enjoyed reading a few things that was mentioned about my hometown. Then the traveling to Scotland hand me looking up the sights that Gabriella visits. Definitly going to be on my bucket list for a holiday location and that doesn't even touch the characters of the book. The story is filled with emotions sadness, happiness, desperation and laughter, its a bloody roller coaster. I found the friendship between the three very real. But my favourite of the three had to be Edward he had me laughing out loud. A definite read if you love the ride of emotions.

I won an signed copy of this book in exchange for a honest review. This was a enjoyable read. I liked the theme of overcoming grief and finding love in unexpected places. I did find I had to keep reminding myself that this was a romantic fantasy and even though the places and the time frame and themes were realistic I had a hard time accepting Prince Edward. The descriptions of the isle of Skye were fantastic the reminded my of my visit there. I do recommended this book especially for those who love a good romance.

"Under Her Wings" is an enthralling story about the revival of love and life after tragedy. From the beginning, I embarked on Gabriella's journey to finding inner peace and happiness despite unimaginable loss. I grieved with her, laughed with her and healed with her. This book is for the hopeless romantic, who believes everyone should get their happy ending. Even when happiness seems unattainable.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series. I loved that there was just enough detail, yet enough omitted to allow the reader to use his/her imagination. It was a great balance, and wonderful escape from the world!

I can't wait for the sequel and trust that it will take the reader on another thrilling journey.
