The Art of Archie: The Covers is a collection of Archie covers and artist profiles from Archie's debut in 1941 through 2012 or thereabouts. If you're a fan of Archie, this is your book. It's a nice cross section of 70+ years of Archie covers, following trends in fashion and pop culture. It's organized by theme, like the beach or music or what have you. It's interesting to see the look of the characters evolve over time. I plan on dipping into this on rainy days for years to come.

Badly organised, poor selection of covers, sleazy commentary.

Goes up to 2013. Could have been a better book with more pages and more covers at full size. It’s an attractive, amusing package and tends to be a little *too* revealing about the somewhat sleazy underpinnings of the USA’s most widely seen accumulation of Good Girl Art disguised as a humor comic. The artist profiles are interesting, but a little too brief.
