In the heat of excitement, Franklin invites all of his friends to his birthday party at Tamarack Play Park, but he soon learns from his parents that they can only afford to pay for two of his friends, not all of them, and Franklin wonders what to do. Original.

Franklin is having a birthday and wants to have the best party ever. The best party ever would be at Tamarack Park, an amusement park, and Franklin has invited all of his friends, but then his parents tell him they can't afford to take all of his friends, only two friends could go, but Franklin wants to celebrate his birthday with all of his friends. What's a turtle to do?
My 5-year-old loves the Franklin series. As a parent, I like them because they usually have a good message in the end. This time Franklin came up with a creative idea for his birthday party when his parents wouldn't let him invite all his classmates to a party at an amusement park.
The story was easy to follow and I suspect it's still very simple language as I could follow most of it. I didn't understand every word, but I got the gist of it. I also found out my dictionary doesn't contain all the words in this book. Good thing I have access to Google!
The adaptation isn't as good as the originals. The stories aren't as morally fleshy and the illustrations are not as nice either. Emily is 5 and she noticed the difference and did not like this one so much.
