The Secret Raiders

Rate this book
"Here for the first time - is the true, documented story of Hitler's Q-Boats, the Nazi's secret weapon in naval warfare, whose toil of Allied shipping was greater than that of all the German battleships and all the mines laid by the German Navy and Air Force combined! From 1940 through 1943 these powerful floating arsenals - disguised as innocent neutral freighters - roved the seven seas, played havoc with Allied Grand Strategy and sank more than 130 vessels. The Secret Raiders tells the whole, fascinating story of these the battles they fought, the captains who commanded them and the men who manned them."

Very interesting history of the German Q-Boats, small, armed merchant ships sent out to disrupt allied shipping lanes in WWII.
