People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.

My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.

Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.

Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.

Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.

This book is book six in the soldiers of pearl series. Like the previous books that I have read, I read this book in one sitting.
I liked Maggie. I wanted her to give love a chance. I understood her reasons but I wanted to shout at her to give Bandit and the men a chance.
I liked Logan, Breaker, Stack and Bandit. I liked that Bandit was the one that was determined to date Maggie. I also liked that Logan soon came around to the idea. I understood Stack and Bandit’s reluctance but I wanted to shout at them to give love a chance. I liked how this story progressed. I liked that every character had doubts about starting a relationship (even bandit had his reservations).
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.

*** Artist/Teacher, Maggie is happy in Pearl. ***
At 24, still a virgin, she's been mentally abused by an older man, and her family did nothing. She is secretly scared and fearful of all men. She met Breaker, Stark, Logan, and Bandit, all badass Marines, when they rescued her friend. Once again they meet, and the attraction is there, but it sends her into panic mode. Maggie is drawn to each of them, and knows that she needs to get therapy to overcome her fears, and not let that creep ruin her whole life. As always our author gives us a variety of amazing characters, an action packed story, and magnificent, super sizzling, sexy times. With four big, strong, alpha men, we get awesome loving and first times for sweet Maggie. Her reactions aren't seeming too normal, because her past suggests she is shy, yet she is "all-in" when it came to having sex, but it's fiction, and we go along for the ride.
The men are already bonded through the military history and current business. These hunks are happy to have found a perfect women for each of them, and as the group. When she is abducted, we can feel the deep emotions going through each of them. Loved the men, even though we don't know their backgrounds; enough is told that we do feel the pull of their honor and strength.
This isn't a full novel, but we get plenty of story to help us love our characters, and the need for everybody to find love.
It's a good story that makes us smile. ENJOY !

Fantastic

I do believe this is one of my favorites in this series. Maggie's fear was so deeply ingrained it was difficult for her to let men close. Meeting her four men really changed all that. When she is abducted, the writing is in such a way you can feel the characters fear and tension. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.

Even though it's the same basic story as in her other ones, they are all still hot. Multiple men falling in love and seducing or romancing one lucky inexperienced young virgin or a girl who hasn't had many lovers as much as the men. Who are slightly older than her too at times. Same formula. Also she is petite under five feet six inches generally.

She does it again

I love her books. I've read all of Dixie's books and they get better and better. My only complaint is that they're not long enough. Just wish they were longer so I could keep reading longer lol.
