I love books based on true stories. I am glad she finally got a happy ending. But it's not over is it?

This book is about a young women who had two younger sisters. Her name is Amanda and her father is killed when she is young. She was very close to him and that death affected her young life. She was brought up in England, where title meant everything. She was determined to marry a Lord so that she could be a Countess. She meets a man by the named of Lord Charles Warrington. He is nothing but a drunk and a big gambler, he has no job. He is registered in England as a professional gambler.
He has a son by her named Patrick. One night he tries to murder his wife but kills the nanny instead. We see that this ordeal does not end for Amanda. The story is based on a real murder but the characters are fiction. The author shows us that money or titles does not bring us happiness. It is a very good story with a lot of twists in it. You have a good love story but a lot of greed and relatives who are real villains.
Well worth you time to read this book

I had no idea that it was based on a true murder, it's a very depressing book, but the ending is somewhat a relief.
