Tras la amena miniserie que cruzó los caminos del Zorro con los del otro mito literario - Drácula - McGregor busca encajar al justiciero en las modas de la historieta noventera sin mucho éxito. De hecho, en su reinvención con guiños al weird western abundan los pasajes gratuitamente sangrientos y domina un tono más violento que el habitual aventurero; tampoco ayuda relegar a los clásicos secundarios en favor de personajes nuevos cuyo diseño parece destinado a juguetes. Una partida en falso.
