If you are a native Midwesterner or you grew up on a farm - or if you need a great giggle - this is a book that will make you laugh so hard, you'll cry! The wry and witty humor of Roger Welsh (of Postscards from Nebraska fame with Charles Kuralt)crys out to the reader from every sentence, page and paragraph. Whether you are male or female, you will love this book!

Note: Roger Welsh taught at my ala mater, Dana College, and now resides in Dannebrog, Nebraska! He's well-known in Nebraska for his tall tales that just never stop!

I started reading this book in a restaurant, and my out-loud laughter got me smiles from my neighbors and waiter. This is a very funny, witty book. Roger Welsch is one of my new favorite humor writers as a result of this one book.

While I would say the tone is uneven from the beginning to the end, I nevertheless appreciated his insights about relationships between men and women. The topic is not just a source of humor for him, but something he has thought long and clearly about. Start it for the humor, but appreciate it longer for the advice.
