My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.
I read this book so many times with the kiddo I brought it to. He loved the call and response bits and the parts where he got to point out things on the page. The best part, though, was the dinosaurs.
This book fits with the Mammoths and Mastadons theme of "That's Dino-Mite." This book will be good for audience participation because frequently there are pictures in place of words. Kids can say the name of the picture combined with a motion or noise. The book can also fit with themes such as: being lost, family, and adventure.
Not such a huge fan of these "read-along" books I guess. I didn't know that Diego would be the protagonist of this story. The imaginative and quest elements are done somewhat well, but otherwise this book felt like it was being phoned in to earn money off of the Dora bandwagon.
Book chosen by Nicole. The only problem I had was the names of the dinosaur was something that she had trouble with and constantly had to have help with.
