This is a pretty short story but pretty amusing to read. It is mostly about Freddie wanting to eat spaghetti but then the spaghetti is not ready so his mom says that he is going to have to wait for it. Freddy does not want to wait but then finds things that he can do while he waits. I think it is clever how the author has Freddie’s toys talk to help him find something to do. I think that it would be very interesting for children to read and that they would find the toys talking very amusing. Then he is distracted playing with all of his toys that his mom has to call him to eat the spaghetti. It can help teach kids learn about patience and waiting for what they want. Explaining to kids that there are many other things for kids to do while they wait for other things such as dinner.
