Look How You Turned Out
I've known Marcus since around junior high when he moved to town and got a job at the station where Artie is chief of police. Marcus was this young married guy with a baby on the way, and I was just starting to feel tingly about males. Well, he was right on time, the gas in the tank of my fantasies. What motivation! If I had a nickel for every time I imagined Marcus telling me to do bad things and professing undying love for me while I did them, I could lay those nickels end to end all the way to the moon…three times.
I was in my first year of college when I heard he was going through a divorce. He had a little boy, five at the time. I tried to express my sincerest sympathy to him one night in our kitchen during my father's annual, have the guys and their wives over Christmas party. But Marcus had custody of his son, and at Dad's insistence brought him along. I don't even think Marcus had a beer, and as I remember he'd patted my head instead of…anything else, and thanked me for my kind words like I was Laura Ingalls and he was Mr. Edwards. I was thinking more along the lines of Lolita and a way less disgusting HH.

I don't get it. At all.
So many glowing reviews for this, and to me it was a crazy hot mess.
The writing style was jarring, and didn't even feel like a book to me. More like a bizarre writing exorcise.
I know this started out as Twilight fan fiction....which is fine...lord knows I've read my fair share of PTP fiction. But honestly....HOW did this ever get published in the form that it is in?

Get ready for a magical story that you won’t be able to put down!
This is one of the most beautiful, funny, and endearing stories I have ever read. The characters are sometimes deep, often hilarious, and will make you cheer for their victories.
There is an unusual romance between the main characters that is encouraged by several other characters (code name: operation love boat)
There are so many memorable lines that will have you laughing out loud or tearing up with emotion.
This gripping story will stay with you long after you finish the last page, and it will be one you will return to again and again.

This is how I want a love story to be written.
Smart, funny, real and at times so raw I can't put my iPad down even though everyone in my house is screaming at me.
Every time Diane Munier writes a new book, I say it's my favorite one yet. Well, this is my favorite one yet. I really hope she's working on a sequel for Artie and Juney.

The writing is very different and took a little while to get used to, but once I did, I really enjoyed the characters and story.

Woah!! probably the worst book I have read in a while. The first chapter I was staring at thinking what in the world is this.DNF the worst book I have seen in a while Complete garbage. This is the first paragraph
"Oh yeah" Artie is saying "Bedilia can do anything she puts her mind to"
"Where's she get that" his old friens Marcus says, am ho ho ho before he takes a swig of his beer
And there's the son he never had at age twelve...because he's only twelve years older than him...Marcus

This is my kind of love story.
Smart, funny, real and at times so raw I couldn't put my iPad down even though everyone in my house was screaming at me. I knew from the start I would love this book. Bedilia is coming home to visit her dad Artie for Thanksgiving. Artie is the local Chief of Police, but he doesn't know that Bedilia is home a little early, a little fired from her big job in the city and a lot in love? He also doesn't know she's upstairs hanging out of her bedroom window snooping on the conversation he and his neighbor Marcus are having about her. After enough snooping, she goes downstairs to be welcomed home. It's what runs through her mind about her dad's neighbor that has me laughing. When she looks at Marcus she thinks there "might" be a little interest there, but "Let's face it. He still wants to pinch the wrong set of cheeks."
This book had me laughing out loud and wishing for a couple of the characters to have their own books.

I received this book as a gift.
Early 20's Bedilia holds a long flaming torch for early 30's single dad Marcus. Marcus also happens to be the best friend, co-worker, and neighbor of her own single father. Plus Marcus has the world cutest kid. Marcus run shirtless a lot. And he secretly longs for Bedilia.
Look How You Turned Out is a five star book because you genuinely LIKE each of the main characters. You like them even as they learn and grow and find themselves. It is the rare book you are literally rooting for each character along the way.
Bedilia also has a hilarious running commentary in her head and the characters actually dialogue back and forth in a fun, natural rhythm.
Lastly, the UST and chemistry is off the charts. Crackle, crackle, sizzle. I would definitely recommend.

I adored this book. I could not put it down. I love Diane Munier's stories and this one just added to my collection. Young love with humor and stages of growing up. A young neighbor girl infatuated with her older neighbor, friend/coworker of her father's. She goes off to college and upon returning has heard of Marcus' divorce and left with his little boy. She likes Marcus....a lot and adores his son. Watched as Marcus realizes his feelings as well seeing just how the 'little' neighbor girls has turned out. Highly recommend.
