This book is essentially just the movie in book form. I think that overall it was pretty good and kept me busy for a while, but it certainly has its flaws. obviously the target audience is meant to be younger, so the level isn't the most advanced, but that isn't my issue. I think that the author used the characters' full names too often. saying Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle every time those characters talk or do something. It got pretty repetitive, and there was even a point when the author wrote Twilight Shimmer. I guess that's a little nitpicky. The spine and back of the book are also a little misleading. It might give the reader the impression that Rainbow Dash is the main character when that is not the case. She is more of a side character, and Twilight and Sunset are the main characters. Other than that i didn't have issues with this novel. I found this book at the thrift store and got it because I've been a My Little Pony G4 fan for the longest time. You'll probably like this book if you liked the corresponding movie. It's an easy and entertaining read that kept me occupied and off my phone for a while. I'd call that a win!

For MLP:EG fans, this is a word for word screenplay of the recent Legend of Everfree movie. There are some good surprises in there for Pony fans, the movie (and therefore the book) went down well with my little advocates. Text is well spaced and easy to read. The songs are included too, so children with the film can buff up on the lyrics to sing along.

Ideal for children seven to ten (it'll be read in a few nights at the latter age range). There are also some little MLP themed activities at the back of the book too.

Rated 5/5 by the biggest MLP fan in the house.

My daughter told me I did all the voices and songs wrong, but this was still a surprisingly enjoyable story of magical girls solving a mystery at camp. I've never seen the movie, but my kids tell me the book is exactly the same as the show.

Ignoring the fact that the dialogue is EXACTLY what is said in the movies (trust me, I watched and read the book at the same time), it's a sweet story that reminds me of the Equestria Girl movies I watched when I was younger. And it's always a comforting read.

I just love the MLP books. They are cute and happy, and employ great storytelling. It just all works for me so well.

It was awesome! It took place at Camp Everfree and Twilight Sparkle from Crystal Prep was in it.
