While I'm liking the general plot well enough and the concepts of this paranormal world fall together well as the series progresses, this one could have easily gone south for me. In fact, one line saved it after the experience with Rowan and now Bhodi: "If she only knew that I haven't been with anyone else" (I might be paraphrasing) Kellen's actions in the previous books didn't convince me that the statement was true and not a way to appease those who didn't like Rowan (the 2nd book's hero) for this very fact but I decided to go with it.
I don't really understand the reason behind the separation between Kellen and Lake. However, they sure as heck burned up together. Newly introduced characters added a different dimension to the story and opened up some interesting possibilities. I loved Jenna. She is hilarious. Probably more interesting to me than the main characters. One thing I noticed was that different characters use the same lines interchangeably in the series. One of the more notable instances is one re: "shitting down your neck" which stood out for the vulgarity. Ultimately, it was still an entertaining read with some sexy as hell scenes if you don't over analyze everything.

Elle Boon blew me away with this latest installment in her Iron Wolves series. The story starts our hitting hard and fast and doesn't let up until the very end.
Readers who follow the series will recall meeting Kellen in Lyric's Accidental Mate and then seeing hints of his alpha prowess in Xan's Feisty Mate. Rest assured that those minor glimpses about Kellen were just teases into all that he is in Kellen's Tempting Mate.
Kellen is the alpha of the Iron Wolves and he runs his pack with strength and empathy. Although growly, he is always concerned about the needs of his pack. Too bad that one detail seems to escape him concerning a pack member and doctor, Laikyn O'Neil. Kellen and Laikyn have a connected past. She wants him and he wants her but he resists her like the plague. Just be prepared for wanting to smack his face off because of that. Laikyn has tried everything to break through Kellen's defenses but he rebuffs her at every turn. It isn't until he overhears Laikyn's conversation about her sexy medical partners that he finally decides to do something about his desire for her. Only, things don't go exactly as planned. Laikyn returns to her home in Kansas only to discover that it's been invaded by uninvited guests. And THATS's when things really start to get interesting...
I should advise anyone reading my review that this book is not a standalone story. It is very connected to the first two books in the series and to Boon's Mystic Wolves series. You should at least read the first two books in the Iron Wolves series to understand who is who and what the backstory is. Now, that said, as a follower of the series, I have to commend Boon on the amazing job she did in connecting the series, first; but, also keeping it fresh by adding tons of dimension to it. This book had it all and foreshadowing details of future stories were nicely commingled in Kellen's Tempting Mate.
I'm excited to find out what's next and need Boon to write faster. Much, much faster *smile*.

Yea, Kellen and Laikyn’s story was truly interesting, to say the least. Elle not only brought the Iron Wolves together with the Mystic Wolves bringing the Fey into play here, she also introduced us to some half-breeds and pure Vampires. It was fast paced and original and we were constantly wondering exactly what would happen next.
So, this is what I learned about Kellen Styles … he’s dominant, he’s sexy, he’s loving and caring, he’s more than what we believe him to be. And, when his pack and woman are threatened, there is nothing that he won’t do or become to keep them all safe.
From the prior Iron Wolves books, I thought we would see a different Laikyn. She always seemed so strong and capable. She stood up to everyone and was her own woman. Well, we find out why she left the pack, why she went to Kansas City and just what and who it will take to get her back into the fold. I seriously thought she would have put up more of a fight and it would have taken a little bit more convincing on Kellen’s part, to get Laikyn to understand that they were mates. But, I guess the pull of the mating made it much easier for Kellen to win the battle. But, it would have been so much fun to see him grovel and plead his case.
Kellen’s Tempting Mate wasn’t exactly what I was expecting … it was more. It was fun watching Kellen truly fall and Laikyn catching him. It was interesting that Laikyn is submissive, a brat, but loving everything that Kellen is offering. And, as usual, Elle Boon gave us a wonderful read. And, she has me wondering just where she is going to take Damien and Lucas and Jennaveve. But, I have a feeling that we are going to see the blow up between Syn and Bohdi before we get into the vampire and fey realms.

Want a sexy as sin alpha who enjoys some kink and a sweet, wonderful doctor who can have the alpha howling? Just pick up this amazing book by Elle Boon! Kellen's Tempting Mate is indeed tempting as all get out! I loved the fast paced action, sizzling kinky sex and sweet romance.
This is the third book in Elle Boon's fun and delicious Iron Wolves MC series and is by far, the most spectacular! Miss Boon wrote a story I couldn't put down. We get some of our favorite characters from past books, as well as some brand new characters who are hybrids. I loved some of these (ok all of these) new characters! I can't wait to see where Miss Boon will take us with them! Kellen and Laikyn are explosive together! I loved Laikyn's submissive streak to Kellen's dominant streak. Nobody is as good as an alpha as Kellen.

well, in spite the story has ended with some rush, I enjoyed it very much.
not quite convinced how the things had been resolved (the fight between bad vamps and shifters), but it is a romance after all.
the story has a good pace, fueled by some hot scenes ( when direwolf alfa gets his mate, the world tremble).
for those who enjoy paranormal or fantasy with a little bit of erotic, this series is a good option.

Holy Moly Smokey! What a hell of a book. Kellen *swoon* I loved how much he loved Laikyn. So much going on in this book but the love and want and need from them is the best. Congrats Elle on another winner. And thank you for gifting me a copy so I can R/R for you.

This is book 3 in the Iron Wolves series although I haven't read either of the previous two. I would recommend this to be read as part of the series, even though it can be read as a standalone, simply because you will then see the deeper connections between mates and the pack as a whole.
Laikyn and Kellen have a history together, but Kellen decided that Laikyn was too young for him. So without saying anything to her, he decides to wait for her to 'grow up'. However, Laikyn thinks that he has rejected her, so she moves away, determined to move on with her life. Things change and Laikyn wants to move back home. She goes with Kellen's younger sister, Syn, but things get a bit scary for them when they realise that Laikyn's home has been invaded. They call for help and Kellen, along with others, turn up. He realises that he can't wait any longer and isn't prepared to let Laikyn out of his sight. Now, this is where it got really interesting for me as you not only have the characters from the Iron Wolves, but you also get vampires (both good and bad) and the Fey thrown into the mix too.
This story is incredibly well written, with a smooth but fast pace throughout. With no editing or grammatical errors that I could see, this was a hot and spicy, thrilling, read that I would definitely recommend.

I really loved this book and i really love Kellen!!!!
Full of action and hot hot hot hot hot sex scenes this book left me thrilled.
Kellen and Laikyn were amazing and i loved their chemistry.
Loved the fact we got to see a bit of the Mystic Pack and a bit of the Fey.
What i loved more though were the Vamps....i really do expect Elle Boon to write about the Cordell Brother....(pretty pleaaaaaaaseeeee Elle)
Since this is the third book in the series i can say that it was fast paced and filled with action and its only bad thing for me is that at some points i got to notice phrases being repeated and a pattern in the wording among all three books that at points while listening to Kellen talking i could see Xan saying the same things.
Still the book is awesome and i am happy to finally see Kellen meeting his match.
The book has some bdsm elements not much to shock but definetely enough to point out Kellen's Dominant side.
Definetely a must read book!!!!

This book is a MUST READ!

Laikyn is a doctor who ran away two year ago because she thought Kellen had rejected her after their one night together.

I liked Kellen, but I knew I wasn't going to love his story. I'm not into men who love BDSM or extreme control. I feel it's unnatural and it bugs me. However, I wanted to see if his mate, Laikyn, would give him a run for his money. In that department, I was sorely disappointed. He was an asshat to her in book two, so I wanted to see her shove him away for once- make him earn her and her love.
Guess we can't have all of our wishes come true.
I did like how this one brought us Fey, Vampires, and hybrid wolf-vamps. Very cool to get other spooky beings in the story. I loved the action and still loving the whole pack! I liked Jennaveve.

Kellen's Mate
We get to see Kellen in another light here, not just as Alpha or big brother. He feels bad for doing what he did to Laikyn. He definitely makes up for it in the end. Lake is sweet, but can hold her own. They are very HOT together!
I like the world-building and the new characters being introduced. The secondary characters are intriguing to say the least. I am looking forward to Syn & Bodhi's story.
I also hope that she writes Jenna, Damien & Lucas soon. I can't wait to "see" that dynamic. :)

Kellen Styles is a bad ass Alpha who makes no bones about who or what he is. And Laikyn O’Neil is the one thing that he wants and the one thing that he has to back away from for the time being. OMG...……………………….This book has just become my favourite of the series, I loved it so much.
I was pulled into the book right from the get go and that is where I stayed until I had finished it, all the while watching it play out in my head just like a little mini movie.
This book is full of twists, turns and surprises, from start to finish, some of the surprises you may see coming others you won't, some are large and some are small, but don't do what I did and try to guess at what is going to happen, I got it totally wrong so I gave up trying.
The emotions that the characters go through during the course of the book can be felt. I actually went through the emotions with the characters, I have to admit I did need tissues for this book, some of the emotions may hit you in the face as they are happening or they may pull on you heart strings, I went through every emotion you can think of during the course of this book and would do it all over again, this book is really awesome.
I highly recommend this book and this series, I am definitely loving everything about it.

This is the third book in this series and they must be read in order. It’s time for the Alpha to claim his mate only it may not be that easy. Kellen has spent the last two years craving Laikyn. Something happened between Laikyn and Kellen and she took off after it happened. She has spent the last two years in Kansas City and works with two other men at a private practice. Now Laikyn has come home to the pack or at least she back closer to the pack and her family. Kellen is ready to claim his mate but learns he isn’t the only one who wants to claim her as their mate. Laikyn only wants Kellen but that doesn’t mean it will stop the other creature who wants her. I love Kellen. This book has shifters, vamps, and fae. The supernatural world is expanding in this series and I am loving it. These books pull me in right away and always leave me wanting more. I really like that you get to read about all the characters in every book. I can’t say enough about this series or Elle Boon.

I read the Mystic Wolf books first and wanted more so was glad to find the Iron Wolf series. I am glad I read the first two books in the series as it helped me understand more about the other characters and how Kellen fits in. I am enjoying the different series and hope to read more. I may go back and reread the other books now to see what I may have missed. I do recommend these books as good reads even though I do not enjoy the BDSM references or what seems to be 24 hr sex. They reference the demand for the best detailing around but can't see how any of them have time. At least with Mystic Wolves, they were at the bar they owned and working was included in the story lines. Found none of that in Iron Wolves but guess some people like that.

Kellen is the Alpha of the Iron Wolves. Laikynis a doctor and Kellen's mate. He took her virginity several years ago and then disappeared the next morning. Now she's moving back and he overhears her talking about her partners in Kansas and thinks she had a three way with them. Laikyn and Kellen's sister Syn travel back to Kansas to get her belongings when they smell the two doctors have been in her apartment. They call for help and Kellen comes and decides he has waited long enough for his mate and claims her. But someone is stalking her and it'll take the two doctors along with a fey to destroy him.
Loved it even though Kellen could be a butt. Plenty of wild sex. And a couple of surprises.

Laikyn and Kellen are Fated mates, but in usual Alpha male style Kellen bungles up their getting together and it is years before they get a second chance. Only problem is there are to many villains in the pot trying to keep them apart , and as far as Kellen is concerned they will all have to die so he can claim his mate, tell her he’s sorry and keep her safe , not much for an Iron Wolf to accomplish on a Sunday afternoon !! Loved the snarky dialogue, the second chance at love and the beat down the Iron Wolves give the bad guys ( a few are new characters to the series, so keep a close eye out ). 5⭐️‘s for hot, sexy second chances !!

I love these books they are all amazing and they're all really fast past. In this book, the wolf shifters find out that Vampires and Fae are real and prepare to fight the enemy. Can I just say how much I love Syn she is so bad ass and I absolutely love her character. Anyways Kellan is an alpha, Lake has loved Kellan for a long time ,but of course Kellan takes his sweet time claiming her as his mate 2 years to be exact, but it was definitely worth the wait these books just keep getting better and better and I honestly can't wait to read this rest of the books in this series.

As with all alphas, this alpha fell hard when he found his mate. The author made sure to give Kellen a book that embodied the alpha male and the mate who is exactly what he needs. She filled the pages with action and adventure while letting us see a softer side to the head wolf in charge. So many new characters and connections being made at the same time the old ones begin to heat up. With every book I fall more in love with this series, I am excited to see who falls and finds their HEA next.

I loved the storyline and the action, at one time I felt about 5 different emotions. lol

Perfection at its best
This book is written so that you easily get lost and see word for word played out inside your head, it transports you inside and you see exactly what your reading that you forget that you are doing that just reading. Another good book in the series. I liked Laikyn a lot. She seemed to be the perfect mate for Kellen. For the most part I like Kellen as well, but there were a few times I found him to be rather overbearing.
I do wish the author had a better proofreader or beta readers. There were some aggravating mistakes. For instance, using dominate when dominant was needed. But the mistakes are not prevalent enough to take away from the story so I will continue the series.

It just keeps getting better.
Loving this series more and more with each new story. I love Kellen and Laikyn, this time the alpha gets his hea. It has it a great story with some humor, steamy sexiness, action, wolves, vamps and fey. What more could you possibly need. Check out this series.

I am really enjoying this series. Kellan's Tempting Mate is all about Kellan finally Claiming Lake as his. They have known they were mates but Kellan has been fighting it. Well that all ends when his jealous takes over and he will finally mark her and claim her. They will face a scary enemy but they will gain some friends along the way. Happy Reading!!

Lots of steamy scenes!!
This was a really good read although there are a lot of sex scenes. I love how romantic Kellen can be at times and then very tough and strong all at the same time. I love the surprise he has that no one really knows about. I'm guessing will be very useful in books to come!!
