Good book. Sophia is a movie star whose recent bad decisions have put her in the paparazzi's crosshairs. Her sister and future brother-in-law have arranged for her to hide out on a local ranch. She's not thrilled with the idea, but she doesn't have any other options. Travis is the foreman of the ranch and not very happy to have to deal with the diva, but he'll do what he has to.
The sparks flew between these two from the moment they met. At first, they were very confrontational. Sophia behaves like a spoiled brat, expecting Travis to do whatever she wants him to do. Travis isn't having any of it and lets her know that he has more important things to do. But underneath the antagonism is a simmering attraction that neither wants to admit.
I liked the development of their relationship. Travis is practical, level-headed and unexpectedly fascinated by Sophia. It was fun to see him fight his fascination as thoughts of her invaded his mind at all hours of the day and night. I really enjoyed how he calmly stood up against her brattiness and began to see the vulnerability that her attitude hid. There are some really sweet scenes as he begins to break down the walls she has built around her heart. Sophia was hard to like at the beginning, but it soon became obvious that she used that attitude to hide her fears. All she wanted was to be loved, and with the betrayal of her ex and her sister getting married, she felt very alone. I also ached for her because her ability to trust those around her had been destroyed by those who just wanted to use her. As she settles into life on the ranch, her softer side emerges. I loved the scene with the kitten and her determination to take care of it. She is just as attracted to Travis as he is to her. There are some funny scenes as she tries to use her acting skills to come on to him, but he sees through them. As they really get to know each other, the heat between continues to build. This just adds to the connection between them. I loved the changes in Sophia brought about by Travis's care for her. But she is hiding the secret of her pregnancy from him, and it hits him hard when it comes out. I ached for them both as Travis worked his way through his feelings of betrayal. But his realization of his love comes just in time to deal with her obnoxious ex. I loved that scene, as well as its aftermath. The epilogue was fantastic, as Travis's calm continues to be the perfect balance for Sophia's occasional freak outs.

This was a great story. I liked learning about the down side of being a celebrity and having to find ways to stay away from the Fans and paparazzi. It was a good romance too. Liked both characters. Loved that it was on a ranch setting and some of that life.

I loved this book!!! Sophia is a very famous movie star who is needing a place to hide out for awhile. Having some bad paparazzi moments due to the slime ball she was dating and the possibility of being pregnant she has to get away. Her sister and future brother in law hide her out on a friends ranch where she meets the foreman. Travis takes his job seriously and runs a tight ship when it comes to the ranch. His first meeting with Sophia did not leave him with a very high opinion of her. As a reader you yourself don't really like her at first. Not in a really bad way, she just seems selfish. As the story goes on you fall in love with Sophia. She is a good person deep down and is so hard on herself. I loved watching Travis come to like, respect and love her. There is so much development and growth in her character and Travis is just amazing. He sees the fear and vulnerability in her from the start and treats her with kindness even though he doesn't like her very well. They were so well suited for each other.

Sophia Jackson escapes Hollywood to hide an unexpected pregnancy and hides on a Texas ranch where she meets the ranch foreman Travis and soon their attraction develops into a relationship. She's a bit spoiled and entitled sounding at first, but the author develops her character so that as a reader I felt sympathy for the stress her lifestyle causes her: from having to be perfect at all times, to the paparazzi and people around her constantly judging and reporting on her. She can't do anything without fear of it being printed and twisted all around. It would be exhausting to live with and it's well portrayed here. I loved Travis, even-tempered, kind, concerned... all the best traits and he looked past the obvious to care about Sophia. I love any cowboy story set on a ranch so nothing but an engaging, escape in this read. Loved!

"A Cowboy's Wish Upon a Star (Texas Rescue Book 2518)" by Caro Carson was a pretty quick read, and it was an enjoyable story. Sophia Jackson is escaping the life of being chased by paparazzi when her younger sister, and her sister's fiance, take her to friend's ranch. She is feeling isolated and left behind but foreman Travis Chalmers promised to watch out for her. There are many parts to this story, and things that Sophia learns along the way. She must learn to trust in herself again, and he treats her with respect.

Sophia Jackson has definitely made her name known in Los Angeles. First, it was as a pretty good actress and then after she met Deezee, her reputation began to be shattered. He was definitely not a good influence on her and he took advantage of her innocence and trashed hotel rooms, etc., and managed to get it blamed on her. Now, no one would touch her in Los Angeles, not even, it seems, her own sister. It was Grace who found the ranch to hide her out on and Grace who took her phone, etc. so no one could locate her. It is also Grace who helps keep Sophia’s other secret.
How will the volatile Sophia get along on the ranch with no one but Travis to talk to and even seeing him is very limited? Will the paparazzi or DeeZee find her first?

I’ll be real with you, I 100% thought this was going to be a quick romance with zero depth that made me roll my eyes every other page.
I was wrong.
Sophia is a Hollywood A-List actress who fell in with a bad boy rockstar who’s trashed her reputation. In order to avoid more scandal, she’s agreed to lock herself up at a Texas cattle ranch.
Enter Travis, the ranch’s foreman, who wants nothing less than to “babysit” this city girl. Except, from the moment he lay eyes on her, he’s enchanted. He sees below the facade she wears, but knows nothing can happen between them.
What Travis doesn’t know, and Sophia won’t admit even to herself, is that she’s pregnant, and her isolation is also to keep her pregnancy a secret until she gives birth and gives the baby up for adoption.
Despite a rocky start, these two find a connection. But can it last with Sophia’s big secret looming between them?
This was such a charming story. It wasn’t too country/cowboy western, and it wasn’t too Hollywood. It was really just the story of two people. Absolutely recommend this one to fans of the romance genre.

I've never read this series before, but the story drew me in right away. The characters were engaging and loveable..... except Sophia's sister and her fiance, they kind of sucked.

As the two clash, desire is triggered but Sophia is not sure how Travis thinks. Then one beautiful night that all changes when he dances with her at her sister’s wedding. Is there hope for these two?
The interaction between these two is priceless. They are at odds from the very beginning. Sophia put herself into the mess and does not want to get herself out of it. She had quite a bit of growing up to do as well as learning what is important in life. In spite of her brattiness, there was a vulnerability to her that Travis was able to see. I loved the progression of their romance and so will you. We also had an opportunity to visit with some old friends and see one of them get his just deserts. A truly romantic book from beginning to end, enjoy Cowboy’s Wish Upon a Star.

Sophia needs a place to hide away. She really don't trust anyone. Sparks flys when she first meets Travis. She is use to doing what she wants. He lets her know from the start this is a busy time at the ranch, and she needs to do for herself.
Friendship forms and she begins to trust him, but Sophia has a secret that even she don't want to admit. She is expecting a baby. Will Travis still care for her, when he finds out?

Loved this so, so much. Sophia feels authentically movie star and authentically A Disaster; we're so thoroughly in her head that her crazy - and hoo boy is there a lot of it - makes sense and is intensely sympathetic. This is the second book by Carson I've read and the second one in which the ending just kind of comes up at the end, like someone pointed out she was about to hit her word count or something. It's super awkward, but over all her books have been so enjoyable.

Love the way Caro Carson weaves a story
In romances, you expect the hero and heroine to be mismatched. That’s definitely the case, here. What’s unique about this particular journey is the little moments that bring these two together. The empathy and vulnerability displayed by the characters while giving us just enough action to keep the story moving. A very nice read, indeed.
