Gotta say how much I hate it when people leave ratings without reviews!
Investigating murders in the middle of a hurricane! That adds some interesting complications! e.g. Doing a search without a search warrant because the entire crime scene might seriously be about to be blown or washed away! Trying to understand the killer's mentally ill thought process was interesting. Also includes dealing with the early days of HIV/AIDS, not knowing how to detect it, what it did, etc. There is a fair amount of gross gore & putrefaction described. I'm glad I wasn't experiencing it in person. I will be searching for the next in this series.
