She is an adult convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and this sometimes shows in her works. She grew up in the Disciples of Christ Church.

Complex enough to keep me puzzled, & thus interested. You definitely need to pay attention! I'll admit there are a lot of coincidences, as if this was all happening in a VERY small town.
