Deathless Night #3

A Vampire Possessed

Rate this book
This is an alternate cover edition for B019BAMDTA

This book was previously published with a different cover and the title "Blood Obsession".

Sacrifices had to be made for the greater, bloody good.

At least that’s what vampire Aiden Sinclair kept telling himself when he woke up in an unfamiliar city with no memory of how he’d gotten there, or why.

Destinies will be fulfilled.

Grace Moss may be a witch, but her magic totally sucks. Hence the reason she finds herself saying yes to an unexpected offer of aid from a dusty, yet yummy-smelling, vampire. With a sexy British accent and bright grey eyes that dance with mischief, his touch makes her blood sing. Yet, something about him makes her skin crawl, and it’s not just the fact he has fangs.

To survive, Aiden will have to trust that her love will be enough to save him, and Grace will have to accept him as he is - into her heart, and into her arms.

L.E. Wilson writes Paranormal Romance starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to tame them—for the most part anyway. ;) In her novels you'll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance.

Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did they know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change their lives.

Lattes and music are a necessary part of her writing process, and sometimes you'll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say, this series keeps getting better and better. I know how hard it is (believe me) to take a beloved secondary character and make him the star of his own novel, but the author has done that with Aiden extraordinarily well. And Grace is an amazing heroine. She's strong, brave, slightly snarky (which I love), with a great sense of humor. Aiden is...well, he's Aiden. Trust me, you'll love him. I also love that this installment of the series gave me more quality time with Nik (Nik's my book boyfriend). I truly can't wait to see what kind of wild ride the author will take me on in the next book. (Hopefully it will be about Jesse and Shea!!)

If you haven't read books 1 and 2 of this series, give them a try before diving into Blood Obsession. You won't be disappointed!

4.25 stars for Book 3 in the Deathless Night series - vampires, witches, demon-possessed vamps, werewolves, the occasional human in a suit, and one essential hedgehog.

We meet several new characters in A Vampire Possessed. We also begin the story in Dalion, China... in a shipping crate full of grain, and one surprised vamp. Aiden unexpectedly crosses paths with a damsel in distress [more or less], and the ride is fast and furious as we try to keep everyone alive and find our way back to Seattle. A lone werewolf comes into play while we are in Dalion, and he is interesting... to say the least. And the Kincaid wolves come to the rescue in China, as Luukas and his hunters are unable to leave Seattle just yet.

Absolutely enjoyed Aiden & Grace. Brock is interesting [and interested in Grace's friend] and I hope we see more of him in coming books. There's more depth in book 3 and that's probably what sits better for me. Yet we still have a truckload of unanswered questions and loose ends. Although we get glimpses of Christian, Shea, and Dante's circumstances... and Keira explains more about her hidden loopholes in those Hunter curses. There's a LOT of stuff yet to be cleared up, and I certainly hope we get our answers eventually.

My favorite book of the series so far. So much background is being laid for us, with only the slimmest of clues to carry us into the next story.

Giving this 2 stars because I was entertained. The story is pretty fast paced, so it kept me interested. Despite that, the plot (if you can even say there is one) doesn't really make sense and I felt like the author kept introducing random character POVs for no reason. It never really added to the MC's plot so I skimmed most of them. I also feel like nothing was really explained well and I don't know anything about the characters.

I love this series! I wasn't sure I would like Aiden as much (Nik and Emma will always be my favorites) but Aiden and Grace total work. I love Wilson's writing style-I really felt like I was in China with them! Full review will be on The Book Disciple

SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW....

The third book in this series sees our fun loving vamp Aiden waking up in a city he has no idea how he got there!
In the previous book, we see Aiden become possessed by a powerful demon! How? You ask... it all stems from the second book in this series.
If your just reading this one, then it’s not too bad, but if your going to read the series, I’d advise you to read in order.
Anyway back to my review.....
Aiden was captured by the female vampire and male wizard from the previous books, as he’s a vampire, they don’t have a soul, so it’s easier to take over their bodies!
And now when the demon takes control of Aiden’s body, he’s not really aware of what’s going on!
Grace is witch, not a good one, in fact Grace isn’t sure why her family saved her from the new high priest that took over from the coven?! But her mother said she was pretty special (but parents always say that!)
But she’s following some seriously creepy dudes! (They’ve taken something from her, and she’s going to take it back)
Book three isn’t a favourite of mine in this series. I loved Aiden as a secondary character, I just didn’t connect with him as a main character. Grace was ok, it’s just they didn’t have the connection that the first two couples had!
But that’s not to say the story wasn’t good, it was, it was fascinating how they worked out the problems they were facing.
The secondary characters (wolves and a best friend) were great and I know they feature in a spin off series (The Kincaid Werewolves) if they are a couple I’m not sure, but the series is on my long list of books to read!
We also catch up with the rest of the vampire clan (setting up the next book nicely)
But back to the story......
Aiden is drawn to Grace, why? Well could it be the fact she’s his fated mate? If that’s the case he should be running in the opposite direction, Aiden is a fun loving vamp, one woman won’t be enough for him and certainly not forever!
But helping Grace with her quest brings out feelings that Aiden wasn’t sure he’d ever had!
And there is also a strange feeling Aiden keeps getting! Like he’s being watched! But nothing would be able to creep up on him, could it?
Grace is fascinated and exasperated with her new companion, he’s like no one she’s ever met, but something is wrong with him, it’s just a gut feeling, but she can’t fully trust him!
So can Aiden and Grace work together? And when you find out her last name! Yup! Things start falling into place fast.
So can Grace help Aiden break the hold that Leeha has over his sires vampires?
And will Aiden commit to just one female, or will he be able to contain his lust for the “poppet” that might just have stolen his heart?

So good

This series pulls you in and you can't stop reading. Smartass Aiden wakes up in a container with no idea how he got there. He runs into Grace and learns he's in China. Grace is a witch who is after her Mojo. Aiden has no idea what that is but decides to help her. Mojo turns out to be a hedgehog who crawled into a stranger's black bag. The men with the bag are up to no good and Grace and Aiden find themselves pulled into danger. Added to everything else Aiden finds he has a demon inside of him who is extremely powerful and dangerous. The story is full of intrigue with a cast full of interesting characters. Loved it.

Absolutly NOT a Stand-alone!
Make sure to read the earlier books in the seeies before this one.

Aiden charmed me in the first book and I really liked his and Graces story.

Once again we get some of our answers but is left with plenty of cliffhangers.
But the story is so well written and the author never strays from the intrigue so instead of being annoying it actually makes you stay alert and lookinh forward to what will happen next.

This was a clusterfuck. I’m so sad I didn’t enjoy this one since Aiden is my fave. But the plot was such a mess. It’s like the author had a million different ideas and she decided to go on with each and everyone in the shortest book ever.

Oh Aiden. I love you. Seriously, he was amazing. I still haven't read Blood Hunger, but I do have a copy of it now, so I do plan to read it. But as of right now I don't see Nik being any better than Aiden. He was just yummy. He is British and has a fantastic sense of humor. He is my ideal man. Sure he is possessed by a demon but ehh.. worse things could happen.. right?

So Aiden wakes up in grain.. literally covered in grain silo and he has no recollection of how he got there. He runs into Grace, who is spying one some random guys in suits, and finds out he is in China of all place. I liked Keira from the last book. She had to be a strong character to be able to deal with Luuk. But I LOVE Grace. She was weird and quirky and hellloo she had a pet hedgehog, named Mojo! She gets in all this trouble to save her Mojo. Anybody who puts their life on the line for an animal is perfect in my book. Anyways.. so Aiden decides that he is going to stay and help her get her Mojo back.. even though he has no clue what her Mojo really is... That is when I knew I was in love with Aiden. Well that and then later on in the book he carries Mojo in his sweatshirt hood... Sigh. Thats's just awesome.

So Aiden and Grace have the suits after them, but they later find out that they also have the demon possessed humans after them as well. There's a lot of things that happen here but I hate spoilers and I am trying my hardest not to give too much away. But eventually Grace ends up in Seattle to talk to Aiden's friends and their mates. Aiden follows and finds out that Wanno (i dont think I spelled that right but it is the demon inside of him) is really in there and that Leeha is able to call him to her... Scary right? That can only lead to trouble.. That girl needs her head readjusted :)

I loved everything about this book. There wasn't one time during it that I was like "I hate that, or I wish that had been different". There aren't a lot of books that I feel that way about. There is just enough action, just enough romance, and just enough humor. Oh and the werewolves are in it to, did I mention that? I feel like I should have. They are funny guys.

Goodreads Excerpt:
Sacrifices had to be made for the greater, bloody good.
At least that’s what vampire Aiden Sinclair kept telling himself when he woke up in an unfamiliar city, with no phone, no money, and no memory of how he’d gotten there, or why. All he wants is to get back to Seattle, and back to his job as a Hunter. But when he happens upon the lovely derriere of a cheeky witch in distress who is being hunted by creatures he finds he is all too familiar with, Aiden must make a choice: Suppress his fears and be with the girl? Or embrace the truth and save them all?

This book just lacked all substance. The characters were all one dimensional and were driven by nothing other than their own desires and selfish whims. Aside from that, none of them were even remotely likable. I'm not even convinced that there was a plot. The book moved in a seemingly stiff way, with the characters just moving from one spot to another and learning small, pointless details that didn't fit together well. The romance was cheesy and had a Fifty Shades of Grey mixed with Twilight feel that made me cringe. Regardless of how you use the word 'love', it is still spelled L-O-V-E. Using it as an endearing term doesn't mean it's spelled L-U-V. And to top it all off, no male living in this time period should be allowed to say the word 'poppet' to anyone other than their daughter under the age of five. Not only did Aiden use said word on almost every page, but the way I visualized him saying it made me extremely uncomfortable. Overall, this book was just not worth my time.

I give this book 5 hearts

Alright so this is book three in the series please read them in order it works out a lot better that way. The characters will make more sense and so will the storyline.
Alright the other two books although I've really enjoyed them they only got 4 stars however I loved this one so it gets the extra star!!
Aiden is a big secondary character from the first book but at the end he's taken by Leeha, and last we knew he was given over to the high priest to be possessed by Wanno.
When Aiden wakes up to find himself in China inside a shipping container no less he sets off to figure out What the heck is going on. He is pleasantly surprised to find a very cute little lady named Grace that is spying on some very nasty individuals who stole her "mojo" from her ( Yeah the whole scene had me laughing like a hyena you'll see)
suffice it to say that Aiden and Grace hit it off when he saves her life, c'mon when a tall, dark, and sexy British vamp rescues you what's not to fall for. However nothing is as it seems Grace has secrets she's scared to divulge and Aiden is living a double life without even knowing it. Add to that the fact that they are being hunted by demons and business men and it's a recipe for action, and well a big ole mess.
This really is my favorite book so far Aiden is such a fun character and Grace is a perfect mate for him. With quite a few little twists and turns to keep you guessing it's an action filled, hot and steamy romance!

I would suggest you read the first two books in the series before reading this one. Blood Hunger, Bk One - Will Nikulas release Emma to live her human life, giving up his own in the process? Blood Vengeance, Bk Two - One bound by chains and one bound by love, Luukas and Keira are forced into a nightmare, with no end in sight. These first two books give the back set for the third book, Blood Obsession. The author, L.E. Wilson wrote about vampires, witches, werewolves and demons. You get all of it in one series. The witch puts a curse on the vampires. This witch included an escape section. With dreams of taking over the world, a vamp had the witch put the curse on the vampires. What kind of choice will Aiden, a vampire make when put to the test? Will he conquer his fears and be with the witch, Grace Moss or will he take the truth and save them all? In order for Grace to keep going, she has to accept Aiden for what he is. She has to find a place in her arms and her heart. That's a tall order. But Aiden will have to trust Grace and hope that the love she has for him will save him. What will happen to Aiden and Grace? Will their blood obsession save them? Pick up a copy if you like witches and vampires, demons and werewolves. This is a book for those readers who like a lighter side of the darker side.

I received a complimentary copy of BLOOD OBSESSION from the author, L.E. Wilson, in exchange for my unbiased review. No other compensation took place.

This is the third book in the series (although I was unaware of that originally) and as such, I do feel like I have missed out on a big chunk of the story. Although this story was pretty much self-contained, there were references made, situations alluded to, and definitely relationships that have happened previously that I had no knowledge of. So, in my opinion, yes - this book could be read as a standalone, but you will benefit more from having read the first two.

Saying that, this is a fast-paced and enjoyable paranormal romance. You have Grace - a witch without seemingly much power, on the run for most of her life. Then you have Aiden - philanderer vampire, happy to go from one to the next without a thought. They are thrown together in unusual circumstances which just take them deeper into demons possessing vampires.

With a supporting cast of wonderful characters, some with their stories already told, some that I would hope still have theirs to come, this story doesn't slack off on its pace, keeping you entertained throughout.

Well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I found, I would definitely recommend this book, with the proviso that it might be best to read books one and two first.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

This is a vampire romance thriller. Some sex scenes, no cliffhanger. There is violence and some of it is on the graphic but it’s not horrific at all. As a matter of fact, the violence adds to the the severity of the circumstances. This book is part of a series, but I read it as a stand alone and I caught up just fine.

Yes, this is another vampire romance, but it had originality. In fact, this was a book I particularly loved. The characters were developed and individual. Aiden has his own personality and a wonderful British accent as well as the feisty heroine (and she is one rockin’ heroine), Grace. There are support characters that have Scottish accents. It was a little bit of a challenge to read the words accented as they would have sounded, but that bit of change from the norm was enough to develop the character in my mind.

As I said, the book is #3 in a series, and while it focused on one couple, there are supporting characters that had been introduced in prior books. I didn’t have any trouble catching on to the story, but I know there is more information in books #1 & #2 that would be helpful insight.

This book was the perfect package for a paranormal book lover. It had witches, curses, vampires, werewolves and an adorable pet. It was easy to love Grace, she was snarky, brave, feisty and protective. Aiden wakes up covered in sand, he has no idea as to where he is or how he got there.
Even then, he helps Grace rescue her stolen Mojo and his reaction on discovering Mojo is priceless. But bigger troubles are waiting for Aiden and Grace because Aiden is possessed by a demon. This made Aiden unpredictable added layers to the story and tested his relationship with Grace. Both of them needed to trust each other with an open heart and their struggle to do so was a little heartbreaking but beautiful.
This is my first book by the author and I really enjoyed it. It had magic, complicated well developed characters, a great plot and lots of humour. I was worried I may be lost as this was the third book in the series but the author provided enough information so that the new reader has a general idea of what has transpired and isn't clueless as the story progresses.

Third book good vampire romance

This is a series with a lot of future possibilities. This book is a bit choppy with some verb context errors, but still a good move forward for the series. I am not sure that it would make complete sense without the first two books as lead ins, but with the magic of Robyn and amazon prime you can spend many enjoyable hours reading the other books to get everything possible out of this one. This is a vampire, witch, wearwolf and demon story. The vampires have a curse upon them (with a clever escape clause) complements of the witch who cast the curse. The curse was cast at the behest of a female vamp with delusions of taking over the world. Unbeknownst to the female vamp, the escape clause was included by the witch forced to cast the spell. This escape clause has very far reaching and unexpected effect on both the vamps and the witchs. Hope the next book comes out soon. Yes, this one came out today, but a girl can hope. Nice plot twists will keep the series interesting for many more books to come.

This is a freaking awesome series. I didn't think I could love anyone more than Nik and Emma. But this book with Aiden and Grace was the best. Their love, especially at the end was so real. And seeing the three witches come together like a family just wow. This book just kept getting better and better. It's seem like so much potential for more books in this series. Aiden's character was extraordinarily well done. And oh my gosh the werewolves both something extra to the book. I can see pulling some of those characters for books. We can't forget Mojo, that strange little pet of Grace. He was so adorable. There is lots of love between the characters, a great plot and lots of humor. I promise you will love this series.
