This book does not have any awards. The appropriate grade level can be a pre-kindergarten class. This book is a picture of many different pictures. It shows at least two things per page for each letter. I think this book is an excellent book to teach the alphabet. I love this book because it can help the students to learn many different words that begins with that specific letter. A possible use for this book would in the beginning of the school year when letters are first introduced to the children. Another possible use could be when the children are making their letter charts.

This format of the photographs in this book are very unique, similar to how items would look if x-rayed. The author is an award winning photographer and you can definitely tell. The entire alphabet appears at the bottom of each page and the author goes through the alphabet by focusing on each individual letter and displaying common objects that begin with that letter. Kids of all age will enjoy this book and all you would need to do is choose how interactive you want to make it depending on how extensive the vocabulary of the child.

This book is for beginning readers working on alphabet's and what sounds they make. Every page had the alphabet on it but with a different letter in bold. The page had x-ray pictures of whatever that letter was. For example, J had a picture of a jar and jacks, B had a picture of a bananas.

This picture would be my go to for alphabet time I think. It had beautiful pictures. Although book had little words, I think it left lots of room for student to fill it in with their imagination.
