R.L. Weeks packs quit a punch with this short, dark, twisted murder suspense story.
Connie is recovering in a lunatic asylum after a life changing murder.
Everyone’s convinced that it was all in her head. But she knows the truth.

Another innocent could be claimed.
But she’ll be fine. As long as she doesn’t open her eyes.
“You’re back. You brought a friend,” a man’s voice said. I froze, Rory had presumably opened his eyes because he screamed. Then it all went dark."
This is a powerful short story with an interesting twist at the end!!

This was a short dark quick read that I won in a giveaway on Facebook. Connie is recovering in a lunatic asylum after a life changing murder.
Everyone’s convinced that it was all in her head. But she knows the truth. This not my normal genre dark horror I normally read dark erotica and I was surprised that I liked it so much. This book starts out with a bang you feel everything that Connie goes through. This book was only 13 pages long. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Modernized Horror Masterpiece!
This book was written exceptionally well. If you are looking for a Fast paced “No Bullshit” kind of book look no further. The Author jumps straight in to the plot and keeps you on the edge to the end. R.L.Weeks blends humanity’s social corruptions and modern day technology to captivate her readers and to form her character’s. Her literary details will leave you speechless and wanting for more. Great ability to paint pictures in your mind from words (whether you want them or not!) I found myself reading faster and faster to see what and who would be next. Absolutely Captivating! #Lovethisbook

Stull is a small town that on the surface looks like any other small town. A quiet little God-fearing town. But there is evil lurking in this town. Quite a bit of evil and it has been going on for quite some time. But where is the evil coming from? Most people think it is an evil entity. Mary thinks maybe it’s something else. Her boyfriend Billy isn’t really sure what to believe. Join Billy and Mary as they discover what is causing all this chaos.
Ms. Weeks is a Mistress of getting under your skin and scaring you. She shocks you right from the beginning. Not to mention that she also takes every day things and turns them. There is the proverbial good vs evil. But it’s not that simple. You think you know the good and bad characters, but maybe they’re not what they seem. Or maybe they are but you sympathize. This is a great story that has the promise of turning into much more. I highly recommend it.

In 13 pages #yourenext conveys what any good horror movie does: by the time you realize what's happening, it's too late. For those involved in every page... It was too late.
Weeks was able to convey the terror and the twisted minds of those that were within the pages. The story twisted around, spiraled and left a flurry of panic in my mind. The book had a pre- The Purge feel to it actually. Why? Honestly, maybe it's the way the Twitter killings spread, leaving no one safe and crime at an all time high. Knowing that and that nowhere is safe, they would have to control it somehow, find a way to slow the daily turbulence.
Regardless of how you feel about social media, #yourenext will show just how influential it can be. It'll also give you something to worry about while you're laying in bed and hear that late night notification.

One Way Out by R.L. Weeks may be a short horror story but it has so many twists and surprises in it, wow, you would think it is a full length novel. Loved it, fast and furious, and surprising! A horror, ghost story and ...just wow! Did not expect so much from such a little book, great job! I received this for a honest review, thanks!!!

This short story takes place in the small town of Still that holds the biggest secrets. A ravishing written novel that is flawlessly developed with no plot holes. The character's are compelling. A brilliant writing style that always keeps you captivated. I highly recommend reading this sensational short story as you will not be disappointed. I voluntarly reviewed an advanced reading copy.

What happens when creepy pasta meets black mirror? You get #yourenext.
This fast paced short slasher horror doesn’t pull punches and it keeps you enthralled from start to end. Though considering the length it wasn’t that hard. I absolutely loved the writing style and short newspaper style sections. What makes this story truly horrifying is the realism of it all. Just like black mirror it hits you in an OMG this could so happen kind of way and makes you stop and think. An excellent piece of art that is a must read for all horror fans my only issue is it was too short and was over before it had barely began which made it feel rushed almost and by the time you figure out who’s POV your reading it’s changed. But in saying that if it was longer it may lose its impact and punchiness. The book is very visual and intense I highly recommend

A short story with grammar issues and a lot of narrative chapter jumps. It had eerie potential as a paranormal erotic but the focus just wasn’t there for me.

In three short, to the point chapters, Weeks creates a dramatic episode that immerses us in the psychotic mind. The writing doesn't always overflow with consistency since the story tells us details the first person narrator can't know, but the mood and atmosphere make up for that. A bit short with hurried conclusions, I would have loved to be dragged down even deeper and have the conclusion dawn at me drop by bloody drop. Reads more like the blurb of a story rather than the actual story itself. Still, nicely done as it is. I'll be looking for longer work by this author.

RL Weeks has done it again & in a very short period of time. She is quickly becoming 1 of my Fav authors.
I am not going to say too much about the story itself because MY REVIEWS ARE SPOILER FREE & with a short story i can't get into much without giving everything away.
But I will tell you that this is the stuff true horror is made of, nightmares could easily come creeping into your mind as you sleep after this read. This is absolutely something that COULD ACTUALLY HAPPEN & THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT SO CREEPY, my skin is actually crawling & thats rare given I read my 1st Stephen King book at the young age of 7. The KING would definitely be proud of this story & while RL puts a very unique twist on everything she writes & I've come to love her style & if I were to read a book of hers without knowing she wrote it, I'm certain within the 1st few chapters I'd have it pegged as her work.
It's very hard to compare her to anyone else. But I think if she sticks to the horror genre she will become the next big thing in Horror & will be compared to the legends of old , getting movie deals or a TV series (don't get me wrong i love all I've read of hers).
The only reason I am speaking more of the author than the story itself is simply because I refuse to give away anything about this UNIQUE PIECE OF CREEPY ART. Like I said scaring me is hard to do, but she can do it. Which is why i am giving this short story 5 creeped out

#Yourenext is written by an authoress who understands that humanity makes the best monsters, the same as King, Barker, Lovecraft and Shelly. It's a tale told of the modern world, indeed about that most modern and defining aspect of the modern world the internet. If anything defines and reveals the depravities that the humanity around us is capable of, its all those little ones and zeros bouncing around the WiFi. Spend ten minutes reading the bottom half of the internet, you know the comments, and you discover the very worst of people lurking there waiting to be spiteful, nasty and judgemental. Now imagine for a moment that all those nasty little words people so easily type were taken a stage further. That out there in the Twitterverse a killer lurks, and then #Titterkiller #Yourenext gets tweeted with your name, and by the time you read it, it's already too late ....
Its a simple idea, told with terrifying insight, of the world of #twitterkiller , a world so very like our own, inhabited by people so very like us, like our friends , our neighbours, the strangers on the street. So very like it because it is our world, with just one small insignificant step to the right.
Its a powerful story made all the more powerful for the telling, grounded in a simple idea and the knowledge that if you want real monsters that keep people awake at night its there fellow humans that truely fit the bill.

OMG! Wow! I just can't even wrap my head around what happens in this story.. I am still sitting here with the chills after reading this!
So this is a very short story and I really can not go to much into what happens without giving away huge spoilers. When you first start reading this you will feel you're heart racing as you follow Connie who is just trying to get out of the basement of a killer along with her friend Jade. You will feel everything that she is going through, because the detail the author goes into to show you everything that is happening and what she is feeling will have you feeling like you are there with Connie. Her fear she feels and the terror of the unknown will leave you will the chills as you progress through this story.
Then BAM! R.L. Weeks twists you and what you think is happening really is not what you expected at all. This story definitely left me feeling like my mind was blown. I really never saw that coming at all. I can not say much more then my only real wish was that this had been longer because I just did not want to stop reading this story!

Sensitive souls be warned!!!! This short story is not for the faint of heart!!!!
Disturbingly very creative, this little horror story is actually very socio-psychological!!!! It exposes how crucial social laws, decorum and etiquette are to a human community, but also how cruel and deranged the mind can be or become!!! Based on the power of internet and the human dark side, it does raise a lot of existential questions after reading it!!!! lf for a moment you could kill someone without getting caught, would you do it? Is internet a sword with two edges? And so many others.... Like a little shot of fright induce adrenaline, you will not stay indifferent!!!
Graphic and slightly gory, this book is not for everyone but if you are a fan of horror, bizarro, serial killer, psychological thriller styles or just curious with a strong stomach then by all means you will be blown away by this new, amazing, technological and serial killing concept!!!!!!

R. L. Weeks is an amazing author. Her work always sucks you in right away and leaves you hanging at the end wanting more, this story is no different. I just love her work!
Billy and Mary live in Stull. This town has a past, a history of evil. They say that the Stull cemetery is the gateway to hell. As they explore an burnt out neighbors house, they find the only living owner, Mr. Jones, hanging with a rope around his neck from the rafters on the back porch. Scared to death, Mary runs out and that night has a dream that her boyfriend, Billy, is a demon and tries to have demon sex with her in the dream. It was so real, that when she woke up, she was wet down there and could tell that she had been touch in places.
Can Billy and Mary figure out the town's secret and survive? This fast pace short story is full of horror, mystery, secrets and suspense that just sucks you in to keep turning the pages as fast as you can. The worst part of the whole story, is that R. L. Weeks leaves you hanging. I can't wait until the book on Stull comes out!

I really enjoyed this short, very different and intriguing read. This book is full of suspense, twists and plenty of seriously gory moments.
I not going to give any spoilers away as it's such a 'short' read, personally I would have liked this to be a longer book and therefore a better connection with the characters. Having said that, this was still a gripping read that had me captivated right til the very end and it had to be read in one sitting!
This is the first book I have read by RL Weeks and it definitely wont be the last.

Can I first of all apologise if I misled anyone with my previous rating. During a fight with my phone it decided to be silly and ignored my input.
#you're next is one of those stories that are so realistic and plausible, it makes the hair on the back if your neck stand up with all the what ifs. I'm one of those people who usually can see where a story is going and I can honestly say, it surprised me in all the right ways.
I wished this story was longer, as I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were believable, and easy to identify with. At the current time, we live our lives (and deaths) as much on social media as in the real world. This story is waiting to happen, just wait ... #you're next! X

So this review is going to be a little harder for me to write due to this being such a short story and not wanting to give away any spoilers..
I will start off by saying this author had me terrified and left with the chills after reading this. The way she goes into such detail in her writing that you really can not help but feel like you are there with the character. The terror Laura feels and the unknown she faces while trying to save her pet.
Then there was the way everything worked out.. Wow!! I loved the premise of this story and the part the "puppy" plays in everything.

Super quick read, and somehow, R.L. Weeks has managed to get a lot of drama into it! You are thrown straight into the drama as Connie is trying to get out of a basement where a killer has her friend Jade. It's only a short scene, but you still feel like you are on the edge of your seat.

Is a intriguing, interesting, read. I was hooked from the first chapter, I needed to know what would happen in this gripping short story.
Sadly though it feels like we are not too far off from something like this actually happening. There is so much hate in the world today, hiding behind the Internet only makes it worse, as R.L. Weeks gives us a glimpse of what could happen if you sit behind a computer, catfish someone, bully them and so on. The sad fact is in real life you would never even consider doing or saying any of those things to someone.
I highly recommend #yourenext to everyone.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short story. Although it was brief, it was very fast paced, and kept you guessing! My head is still spinning from it. I don't want to go into the story as I don't want to give away any spoilers, but Connie, the main character, is easy to identify with and definitely keeps you on your toes.
This is one of those books that you'll read and never forget. I read this book last night and I'm still going through what ifs and wondering what happens next!

At 13 pages, this is a short story which can be read in a day. With this story, you'll be drawn in from the start and kept on the edge of your seat. As I was reading this story, I envisioned it being played out like a movie. Although in my opinion, this story is ten times better than any horror movie Hollywood puts out. Throughout the story, I was kept in suspense about what happened to Connie and her friend Jade. I won't give too much away, but all I got to say is if you're a horror fanatic, you need to check out this story and other works from this author.

I received this book to give back my honest review. All I can say is WOW. This is a short story, but worth the read. I was on edge through the whole thing. There was times when I was anxious, but needed to walk away for a second. I couldn't wait to see what happened next. Just when I though I had it figured out, the twist comes and it still makes me wonder if she was crazy or if she really believed what she thinks.

This was my very first horror story. I really loved it. It was very well put together. I loved the way the author titled each chapter. This short horror story involves the Internet. AKA Twitter. It's about a string of very gruesome murders were the victims are tagged on Twitter @blahblah #yourenext. Hence the title. It was a really good horror story. And it won't be my last. RL Weeks is a very talented author. I really love her writing style.

You're Next is a modern day horror tale using social media and one of the ways it can go horribly wrong. This book had cringe worthy gore, twists, and it makes the reader think about what could happen when people use social media for evil. The heck with bullying, this is MUCH worse. I do recommend you buy this book, and check out other books by this author. She has an even shorter story that is just as good!!
