Scintillatingly erudition mixed with a no nonsense, down to earth savvy. A wonderfully enjoyable collection of essays that is a real page turner. I couldn’t put this book down. It is especially good on poetry and poets, often coming from an unusual angle and full of common sense revelations. No writer/ poetry lover should be without this gobsmacking book.

I enjoyed reading about poets and their messed up lives and a lot of terms in poetry. A wide and interesting range of articles.
