Very disappointing.
I picked it up in the library, saw what looked like good templates, a couple that I glanced at seemed to be referenced as to sources, and I borrowed it on that basis. My mistake, it is actually a guide on how to realise your inner... something or rather.

It is a bit too newageie for me and it rabbits on about god way to much, without ever defining which god they are talking about. The book borrows designs liberally from all religions, nature and science, and is apparently translated without telling you from what language (printed in China? is that a clue), knowing what a book it translated from can make it more understandable sometimes. It was not useful graphically, as without knowing where a design is sourced from I am reluctant to use it.

All too obscure, interest waned fast.

I received this book as a gift 10 years ago and still love it. I copied all the mandala coloring pages so that I'd be able to paint and color them repeatedly. I appreciated the commentary on each exercise, encouraging the reader to let go of the need for perfection and just make the mandala.
