Hopper Bunny is moving into a new home in the forest to be closer to Grandma Bunny, but starting over can be a little scary. He is afraid that the other animals will not like him. Will Hopper be able to make some new friends with Grandma Bunny’s help?
Hopper has just moved into a different part of the forest and is kind of worried that he may not find new friends. He's been happy to see his grandma, but as a young rabbit, of course he needs to interact with other people too. Good thing Grandma makes sure Hopper feels at home and gets to meet new friends.
I read this book to my 4-year old (who recently had been going crazy over Disney's Lion Guard) so when I told him we're gonna read about forest animals, he couldn't contain his excitement. My boy instantly liked Hopper and his new found friends! He even gushed about the colorful illustrations (especially the pastries, ahem!)
Amy Best sure knows how to make kids happy. I'm glad I read this book that brought a smile to my kid's face. We'll be reading more about Hopper and Friends real soon!
A most excellent 5 star read! A wonderful & sweet child's story. Hopper bunny is moving to be close to his grandma but realizes he will have no friends when he gets there. With the help of grandma he finds many friends in the forest, Shannon Squirrel, Rickey Robin, Fiona Fox, Brandon Badger and Freddy frog. The kids really liked it and so did I.
Hopper (bunny) moved closer in the forest to his Grandma. Hopper was worried about making new animal friends, but Grandma assured Hopper he would. Grandma made some fresh baked carrot muffins. After they ate Grandma gave Hopper a tour of the forest & introduce him to the other animals: Shannon Squirrel; Ricky Robin; Fiona Fox (grocery store owner); Brandon Badger (Bakery owner); Freddy Frog (Newsstand).
Did they all like Hopper?

An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) animal storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s animal movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Hopper Rabbit is moving closer to his Grandmother and while that is a good thing he is worried about making new friends. Grandma tells him not to worry and takes him on a trip around town to meet everyone.
This is the 1st book in the Hopper & Friends series. I read the second book first Belinda Bear’s Special Talent. It does not seem to matter because while this book introduces Hopper the Rabbit & his friends. None of the characters are the same in book 1 or 2. This book basically deals with what it is like to be the new kid in town and making friends. The second book also deals with friendship but more on how to be a supportive friend in an already existing friendship. In both there a is a sweetness to each main character. Hopper seems shy but friendly which helps the others to want to be friends with him.
The version I read was the e-book. As with the first book I mentioned I do not like the covers. I feel that large red border is a mistake. Although I don’t like the cover I do feel that there is pleasant feeling into the art that is matching the story.
I have more of the of the Hopper & Friends downloaded but have yet to read them. I am interested to see if Shannon the Squirrel shows up again(because my name is Shannon;)) I think this would be nice for young ones starting school.
Hopper was excited he was moving closer to his Grandmother. Hopper was worried about making new friends. Grandma took him on a tour to introduce him around to people. Shannon Squirrel was first. She was so nice, she offered to go on the tour with them. She showed him Ricky Robins house. Then Ricky Robin came and said he would come along, too. Soon he had many animals with him and Grandma. He made a lot of new friends this day. He wasnt through. Grandma needed to go to the grocery store. This is a great book for the beginning reader. The story is interesting and the illustrations are colorful to keep them coming back again and again. I found this book on Amazon for free, you can too.
My preschooler loved the story and learned a lesson about not being shy and the joy of making new friends. The characters in the story are just adorable and the illustrations are nice too. This storybook is meant for early and beginner readers. While my little girl enjoyed listening to me read this book to her, it would have been better if it comes with more illustrations.
Thank you for sending a digital copy of Hopper and Friends Book 1 in return for my honest review.
Hopper and Friends is a sweet children's story about moving to new places and making new friends. The adorable animal characters will appeal to young readers; the bright illustrations are inviting and appealing. The story teaches a nice lesson about being kind to others.
There were some issues with the digital layout that need to be addressed.
Hopper moves to a new neighborhood to be near his Grandma and is worried about making new friends. In Hopper and Friends his Grandma takes him to meet all the animals in the neighborhood and he feels silly about worrying if he could find new friend that will like him. This book started a discussion with my preschoolers about going to new places and not knowing anyone and how they feel.
What a cute and imaganitive little story! I love the message it has in it about making friends. I also love how it encourages children to be themselves. The pictures were adorable too! I loved reading this book to my family! I fully recommend this book for parents to read to their children! It's great!
Children have many misgivings when they move to a new place. Grandma was very wise to go with Hopper and help with the. Introductions. Hopper found it was just like grandma had told him...a friendly place. The new friends added an additional touch with the surprise party.
Hopper was moving. Like many kids he was afraid he would not be able to make any new friends. Read to find out whether he was right or wrong. This is a wonderful book to read to a child who is getting read to move. It will show them there is nothing to fear.
I received a copy to facilitate my review. The opinions expressed here are my own.
I found this children's book an excellent choice to read to small children. It has large pictures with rich colours and the story line is easy to follow. As children's stories should, this story has an excellent lesson to be learned. Highly recommend.
I really loved reading this book. It was very friendly and exciting to read. I loved the pictures and the colors. The pictures seemed like they where going to jump off the pages. The story was good and informative.
