I bought this collection of essays at the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis and have been slowing reading it over the last year. The town of Ferguson has elected and put in place new officials and policies since the killing of Michael Brown in 2014 that "inspired" this work. Hopefully the town is working towards being a model of inter-racial acceptance.

The essays are scholarly and encompass thoughts about the conditions in our country that led to not just Michael Brown's death but also the mistrust of young black males by many in our majority white society.

Disturbing and educational for those of us who do not experience this discrimination in our lives.
