Last Night at Wyrmwood High by Kathleen Gros is a short and sweet story of three friends at a high school populated by supernatural creatures. Since they can remember the seniors have always pulled the same old boring senior prank, and they want to make a splash for their senior year. This lighthearted comic with a heartwarming moral could easily be shared with a young audience. I adored Gros’s use of color, swathing most of the story in shades of purple, and using a yellow and green motif to differentiate an important flashback.

Last Night at Wyrmwood High is an adorable graphic novel for younger readers. It is the protagonists' last week at high school and they decide to pull a new prank given that grads at their school have been doing the same one for years. However, after all their hard preparation, their gear turns into... the same tools for the ever-repeating pig prank? What?!?! Turns out the school is cursed and the girls set out to see if they can find the ghost who can free them from prank attrition! It's a cute story about friendship and silliness. The designs are neat, though the art feels a bit shaky at times. However, the colours are great, and Gros gave her book full backgrounds, something nice to see when so many authors skimp out on that aspect.
