Science curriculum authors have a really funny understanding of "household objects." I really wanted to love this book but it has problems.

Many experiments tell you to use very specific objects, like a certain size jar or an apple, but when you get to the experiment really any size container would work or any round object could have been used, etc. It was very odd that way.

Glow sticks and stacks of newspaper are also not common household items in my home and that was really annoying.

Experiments often took a lot of planning (acquire objects we don't have) and set up time in order for the experiment to take 30 seconds. There also wasn't enough reinforcement unless you wanted to do additional enrichment activities that required even more random and oddly specific objects.

We didn't even finish this book because we couldn't stand it anymore.
