The Time Warriors series lasted for three volumes in 1991; it was a men's adventure series with a science fiction backdrop of parallel worlds and time travel that focused on action and violence rather than technology or character. They seemed a bit gorier than the average offering that Gold Eagle published. Fuse Point was the first book, and it was followed by Forbidden Region and The Guardian Strikes. They're the only books published by North, about whom nothing seems to be known, so I wonder if might have been a pseudonym; the military descriptions reminded me of Roland Green. The heroes are Black Jack Hogan, ("a counterinsurgency specialist left for dead by the Khmer Rouge, he was given new life by monks whose special knowledge healed his mind and body") and his partner Brom ("an ancient warrior from the mists of time...he is one more man the Devil didn't want to take.") They're quick, fast-paced adventures.
Interesting premise with a clumsy execution. Always felt like I came into the middle of the story. More gore than I care for and felt it wasn't needed.
