A brief stitch library of basic techniques and lots of very small embroidery motifs. I saved the cross stitch alphabet for future use. There are a lot of cute little girl patterns (ballet dancer, flowers), some good teatowel designs, and some cute Scandinavian and Eastern European motifs. It's not a great book for someone who does a lot of embroidery but it's a good gift for someone just starting out or for someone who's lost their stitch-mojo.
The best pattern is the squirrel on the tree branch.
There is a difference between tiny stitches and too small of stitches. I felt like these lose all sense of design because they are so small. After reading other reviews I realize this book is not my cup of tea but honestly I didn't enjoy it
