This book is based on the principles of mnemonics and laws of controlled association, and if you apply the principle you will be able to bestride both the world of memory, and world of knowledge simultaneously, giving yourself greater self-confidence, a growing mastery of imagination, improved creativity, and vastly improved perceptual skills. In fact, education system has created pressure on students in which memory, the technique, by Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, can provide some rescue.
The book talks about some tips and tricks to memorize things, numbers, dates etc. After chapter 35 only science or medical students can relate to the author. Learnt a thing or two but nothing new to b honest.
What was your favorite method of learning in class during school? Did you see the blackboard, listened to your beautiful teacher, or write down notes? Does it make any difference?
Should our memory improve over age? Or decline, or is it a parabolic curve (spoiler: it isn't :P )
Why do I trust this book: 1. Talks about the most essential factors for memory: Sleep and Food. 2. Talks about methods for concentration and willpower. 3. Talks about methods for success e.g. Visualization (they show the same in Super-30 movie!) 4. Each chapter is worth a Ted-talk in itself (My favorite would be Spider Notes, because I feel it is going to change my life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nTuS...
So, are you ready to double your memory in 21 days? Then you can trust this arsenal of methods by Biswaroop, India's memory champion, who entered the Guinness book of world records twice (the second one was for maximum pushups in a minute in 2007)!
This is a book that introduces practical techniques to enhance your memory sharpness and alertness. From few tools for sharpening our memory, it goes to suggesting the right diet and the right lifestyle towards enriching our mind. This is a good read as it is crisp and at the same time useful if utilized fully. The scientific expression of Biwaroop is both clear and logical.
