Bach's style isn't my favourite at all, but it manages to become unbearable in singing choral pieces: it's very difficult to get it right as a whole, to combine all the voices, and even when that is attained, the result is not very satisfying in my regard. In general, Bach's version of the St. John Passion results musically in a terrible depressing piece.

I wouldn't try to conduct from this book because it's a poor layout but it's great for reference.
