One vampire hunter. One hidden desire. One night that will change it all.
Sophia Glen thought she knew who she was—a twenty-something woman with no obligations who just happened to be born a vampire hunter. Spending her nights fighting to rid the city of malevolent creatures, she has earned respect from those who decide her future. Not to mention she’s captured the heart of the sexiest hunter in her crew.
Sophia enjoys the freedom and intimate connection she has with Silas. He can give her what she needs the most, a chance to let go. Finding that Silas can free her from the urge to always be in control, she allows her desires to flourish. But what Silas will never fully understand is that only their sworn enemy can give Sophia what she truly craves.
So when Sophia is forced to work with the captivating, exotic, and irresistible Viktor Kaska, she quickly learns that the ancient vampire may be exactly what she desires. Denying her growing need to feel his fangs slip into her skin, Sophia fights the attraction and focuses on taking down the mass of uncontrollable vampires tormenting the city. But when she finds herself trapped under the spell of the very vampire who betrayed them all, her future as a hunter will be changed forever.
And so will her future with Viktor.

Ashlee Sinn fancies all creatures of the paranormal persuasion, especially those who like to bite. Her steamy romances tend to feature swoon-worthy heroes and kick-ass heroines. Whether it's vampires, shifters, or demons, the women who keep them in line have a special place in her heart. And in her chaotic head.

The Vampire Huntress by Ashlee Sinn is a paranormal romance featuring Sopia Glen and Viktor Kaska and set in New York City. Sophia was born a vampire hunter and spends her nights hunting rogue vampires. She’s and Silas, another hunter are partners in more than one way. However, when a serious threat faces the city, Sophia is forced to work with an ancient vampire: Viktor.
Sophia is stubborn, determined, and fierce. While she has earned the respect of others, she doesn’t have many close friends, isn’t always a team player, is impatient, and feels underappreciated. Viktor is powerful, charismatic, and captivating. The other characters have very little depth. This includes the antagonist and Silas.
There is a plot in this short novel, but it is interspersed with some extremely steamy scenes and some slow pacing interrupted with bouts of action. It was also somewhat predictable. However, there are some unique and intriguing views of vampires and their capabilities and weaknesses in this story. There are also some cross-over of characters from the Callaghan Clan series. Overall, this was an entertaining novel that didn’t quite work for me.
I purchased a copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own. Publication date was March 15, 2016. ---------------------------------------- My 2.37 rounded to 2 stars review is coming soon.
I enjoyed this book series a lot. It wasn't as long as I thought it would be. I noticed some mistakes in the series, they really didn't bother me, but I know some people can't stand any errors (it was few). I enjoyed the story line, along with the characters. I thought the characters had depth and were easy to relate to. I would definitely recommend this series and am glad I read it.
✴️✴️ONE TUMULTUOUS ADVENTURE✴️✴️ Scorching skivvies sue! Ashlee drops the bomb and lowers the boom as this incredibly turbulent, sinfully addictive, skillfully compelling, sensational rock-our-world tempest blowing through on gale force winds, bringing the heat and knocking down walls, serving up some cruel facts, brutal lessons and ruthless determination, jetting this jewel to staggering heights. A churning edy full of riveting drama, gripping intrigue, underlying currents, spiraling danger, electrifying suspense and intense situations converge, revving up the exuberance and vigor, while treacherous struggles and formidable triumphs ensue, noting the mischievous quirks and defying bents, wrapping this gem up sleek, shiny and tight. Escapades and shenanigans descend in a flurry of perceptive deductions and calculated diversions, crushed boundaries and crumbling barriers solidify as limitations are amplified and tested, attentive to the perilous twists and wicked turns unfolding, allies are forged and battle lines are drawn, blasting this baby to life brilliantly. The characters interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you're part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Fantastic job Ashlee, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
The world we live in filled with vampires, demons and shifters. Hunters who protect us. But what if a hunter is rescued by a vampire and continues as a vampire? Where then is the balance between the normal and the paranormal?
A beautiful story is the result that you read when you read The Vampire Huntress where you are treated to strong characters, a badass woman who embraces her sexuality and beautiful steamy sex scenes. Good and exciting story 5*

I loved this book so much, thanks to "Fairies Gifting Stories Australia" I have gone back to reading more than just thriller. (Which you would tell my Goodreads 80% of my reads lately has been serial killers) It did take me awhile to read this book BUT that is because I am reading 2 kindle books (was reading them both on the kindle) and also physical books. But I have also been and had my surgery done, with this my reading plan that I had sorted out for recovery didn't take on very well, due to the medications that I have been on making me very sleepy so I haven't done as much reading as I would have liked. I am now reading the rest of this book on my phone so that I am not switching between books on my kindle, while reading the book "Beautiful Storm" on my kindle as well. I do need to get my old kindle back from my friend since she isn't using it anymore, so that I am able to have 2 books on the go one on each device, that will happen sometime this week which will make reading 2 books on kindles a lot easier and I might even still get my goal cut out for this month!
Sophia hunts and kills demons for a living. She has a secret relationship (fuck buddys - to fill a need) with another hunter called Silas. She has forbidden desires, regarding fantasies with vampires.
I cannot believe that what happened just like happened, Sebastian just bit her, but why?! What ever his reason for this I don't know, but this means that he can find her anywhere, and can bend her to his own will.
Victor isn't as bad as what Sophia had made him out to be on their first group meeting with him, and during the time that he was protecting her from harm coming her way from Sebastian and his little minions after what he did is proof enough. That he will protect her and that she can trust him and feel safe with him, especially when the one demon that she hunts changed her whole life with just a click of the fingers marking her permanently.
Maybe her relationship with Silas is more than what she thinks it really is, as things between the both of them have been changing drastically. He does really care for her though, and will go to lengths to protect her. And he worries about her safety and doesn't want to leave her alone, but he does have to realise that he can trust Victor and that he will protect her and keep her safe.
So the only way for her to have the mark that Sebastian placed on her neck is for her to be turned into a vampire, I'm actually in shock about this and didn't expect this to be the chain of events in the story. I wonder where she will go from here, what she will decide and will she still be a demon hunter?
Well between around 40% to 70% I was practically glued reading and enjoying this book that I didn't think about my notes for my blog/review, but wow how is Sebastian that strong to not only compel her but he can compel other humans while being no where near them to do things against their own will. What exactly is Sebastian gaining by all of this and being a crappy ass person (vampire) he is so evil, and I really do not like this vampire what so ever! I don't normally say I don't like a character but I guess this book has made me hate one LOL. I cannot believe that her boss has been kidnapped by him and his minions, and now there is a ransom for her to be swapped with him. Victor isn't have any part of it and will not let her trade herself for Ezra's life, I really do think that Victor cares about her, maybe possibly loves her without realising, it has to be because when you look at the way he treats her, protects her and so on.
Who is the traitor in the small group of hunters and demons, there has to be one cause that had to be a set up at the warehouse? But who can they trust, and can't they trust? Cannot believe that those two female demons did that to her, they tried to kill her!! Why did they do that though, she didn't do anything to Silas like they thought she had. And Victor oh my golly he is so worried, will him turning her work or not? Will he be able to save her, or will that be her end in this story? It can't be her end though cause there is still 20% left in my kindle book.
Yay it did work, woop woop. Changing her from human to vampire really did work, Victor succeeded in saving her. During the time she was out to it and changing Brandt had some concerns about her, and was actually worried for her he must be closer than I thought with Victor as friendship. Now that she is a vampire, what will come next for them all, and especially for her?
With everything that has happened since Sebastian attacked her and marked her, she keeps on blaming herself for all the events that have unfolded. Because everyone that she cares about is either in danger, and has been hurt in some way. They need to come up with a game plan to take down Sebastian and his minions.
Ezra being thrown in the room and Sebastian showing up to kill not only Victor but Sophia as well since he stole her from him by changing her, and then he ending of this book surprising me with the full on battle that had me on edge and the order showing up. The fight was close but im glad Sophia finally won by killing him and ending all of the chaos that came with Sebastian, the order well that's another story that was a very close call I can't believe that they wanted to kill her since she wasn't created by them. Even so that's not even a reason for them to destroy her, but because of Ezra she gets a second chance at life with Victor and I hope that they get there happy ending after all.
The world created by Ms. Sinn has so much potential! I enjoyed the characters and the overall plot, but the story feels a little rushed, in a "this world and story are meant to be a full on trilogy not a one and done" kind of way. I'd love to see this fleshed out that way, because the bones of such a trilogy are there. This story took me back to when I first discovered the first few books of the Anita Blake series, and reminds me of the things I really loved in the books before they switched gears, so to speak.
So really, if you want a quick, easy read that reminds you of what some of the classic paranormal romances have to offer, this books for you!

First of all I'm no way near finished with reading about Sofia and Viktor(not so subtle hinisthereby any chance more coming about Silas,t). They are hot as hell and I really want to know what happened with Silas and how his story will continue, just as how the friendship between everybody hopefully will continue/blossom. This book had everything. Action, steamy stuff, vampires, hunters, shifters, demons. I just loved it. When I started reading I read it in one go, didn't even want to go to the bathroom I was so sucked in the story I forgot everything around me.
There's so much I want to tell, bit I really don't want to spoil the book.

This was the first book that I read from Ashlee Sinn. It was nice to read about a single-minded, determined female protagonist that literally only wanted to do her job. Life didn't go her way and she got more trouble than she could handle. This story was the more classic hunter versus the vampire kind of story. There were small twists here and there that I felt could have been given more time and more detail but the overall story was pretty good. I look forward to reading more from Ashlee Sinn. I even did a whole blog post for the book. Check it out if you want to read more of my thoughts on the book.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW The Vampire Huntress by Ashlee Sinn was an enjoyable paranormal romance with good world-building and characters with depth and growth. An exciting storyline with angst, action, romance, and steam. A few things could have been more detailed, but that only bothered me slightly. Audiobook narrators Dom Johnson and Teena Scott are a great team. They made the story flow really well and put realism into it. The way they narrate the steamy scenes isn't for everyone, but I loved it. The Vampire Huntress is an entertaining, action-packed story with many twists and turns that paranormal romance lovers will enjoy.
Thank you, Teena Scott for the audio code. This voluntary review contains my honest opinion.
I enjoyed The Vampire Huntress, it felt like a retelling of the hunter versus vampire story. But I did not mind, the story really flowed, with great character descriptions and growth through the book. It felt familiar to other books that I had read previously, but it was not something that I minded. I enjoyed reading about the day to day life of Sophia and her struggles with it as she fought her destiny. It felt relatable, and I loved it.

Sophia was destined to be a vampire hunter. She was literally born to do it. However, Sophia has a secret that she couldn’t let anyone know, not even her best friend and sometimes lover, Silas. But things quickly changed for Sophia when her and team of hunters are forced to team up with a centuries old vampire. Sophia’s relationships with her friends and her enemies will quickly change and leave Sophia questioning everything she was born to do.
This story was exciting, action packed and totally unpredictable...the vampire huntress Sophia finds herself working with an ancient vampire Viktor to find out who is plotting against the order. I really recommend this book to lovers of the paranormal genre...i did find some editing errors but found that they can be overlooked due to the storyline and versatile characters that makes this an exciting read.

I loved this story about Sophia who is a vampire hunter and one of the best she has to team up with an enemy the vampire Viktor Kaska and she is very attracted to him, they work together to bring down the rogue vampires who are terrorising the city. There’s so much more going on in this fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s well worth the read.
If you are a fan of the supernatural and paranormal, I suggest you read this book. I have enjoyed all of the books that I have read by this author. I recommend you read everything she has written. She does not disappoint!

This was a good story with a classic vampire world including intriguing additions such as sorcerers, demons, shifters...I would have liked it even more if it wasn't so smut-heavy at times. I eye-rolled myself to another room when the bite turned Sophia to a sex-craving puppet...but overall I enjoyed the book.
This was a good read with a vampire hunter that ends up with a bite from a vampire so she can be tracked. It intends her life and gets the hunter leader kidnapped and they are trying to get him back. She wants to be with Viktor a vampire and she ends up almost dying and he is forced to change her to a vampire.
I have read all of Aslee's books now. She and Harmony are great story teller's. She knows how to keep your attention so you don't want to put the book down until you've finished it. Can't wait to see what's next.
A really enjoyable story. I was kept guessing how things were going to end for Sophie. Loved the romance and the action. So many plot twists were in this book! A great paranormal romance.

This was my first book by Ashlee and it won't be the last. This book was so well thought out and written with amazing characters and the narration was in point. I felt like I was there watching as everything was going on.
Narrators Dom Jonson and Teena Scott kept to their perspective me/female voices. It meant the story flowed well and it was easier to follow the characters. This audiobook was action - packed with many twists and turns. It was entertaining.
This series had the potential to be great but the author failed the male characters . Both Viktor and Silas were too weak and it completely ruined the series.
Enjoyable read that was well written, a little predictable but still a good read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
