Aspiring actress Rebecca would do everything to achieve her goal. She met Marcus Taylor at a party for the first time. When she saw some good-for-nothing rich ladies picking on a poor frightened girl, she blurted out that she was billionaire Marcus' girlfriend. And she couldn't take her word back, because, surprise surprise, Marcus seconded her claim. Nice!

They continued their pretend relationship in front of the cameras, and eventually had a hard time coming out of their fantasy when off-cam. Fireworks continued to spark as their kisses went deeper and deeper. But Rebecca asked herself, what if Marcus was just pretending all along? What if there wasn't any relationship to fall back on after all?

Sierra Rose was able to make me sigh and giggle and grin stupidly while reading this book. It's been such a fun, romantic and fast read. I enjoyed the pacing and the characters and the plot, very realistic and got the feels of a rom-com film. Even the cliffhanger ending had me grinning and intrigued. So much fun!

** I received this book through Hurrican Book Readers for an honest review **

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of the cliff hanger at the end. Other than that, this book was really good.

Please take note - Part 1 of 3. Can I give it 1/4 of a star?

no depth of character. Writing is very twitter/facebook surface and fake. Should have guessed by the title.

Two and a half stars really because I found it entertaining (if completely unbelievable) enough to finish it.

Probably won't be picking up the next book because I'm not a fan of the writing style and I found it hard to understand character motivations.

Reading this novel is what happens when you're an insomniac with a Kindle at 2:00 am. You don't want to get up for the day just yet, and yet you can't turn on the bedroom light to read that brainy book on your nightstand either for fear of waking someone else up. All this said, here goes...

As a reader I expect a few things. When reading chick lit, my expectations are not the same as when I read a non-fiction for instance. In either case there are levels of "good" in terms of the writing involved. Some authors can write the crap out of chick lit, while others seem to write the crap into it. Hmm. Maybe this review is going sour too soon, but as a reader, one of the things I absolutely demand of an author is that they get their main character's name consistently spelled right. If nothing else, at least do that! This book annoyed me to no end as the author/the main female character or both, consistently seemed to forget what the male lead's name was. I kid you not! I actually spent a good portion of my time reading this e-book, highlighting all the instances I noticed where Marcus was spelled either with a "c" or a "k" and sometimes the two versions were used on the exact same page a mere line or two apart. What the Holy Hell?!

Overall, this isn't a smutty read, which is a plus. There's no sex, at least in the part I was highlighting through. There is the typically overdone, poor girl meets rich guy Cindarella element. The main character Rebecca is sometimes funny in a genuine way but her character seems more developed by her job as a hospice nurse and the owning of a three legged cat than any real memories/actions. I'd like to have seen her spend more time in hospice personally. Perhaps the characters there would have made me care more about her. The acting auditions she attends were mentioned but not really created as visual scenes leaving me to wonder if being an actress was that important to her at all. As for her relationship with Mar?us, where is it? There's looks and kisses, but based on what exactly? Because he's so hot and she's apparently so hot? I just didn't buy it, even after he offers her $20 grand to act his girlfriend to replace his playboy image.

Oh, and is the balcony scene from "Pretty Woman" up for grabs in terms of writing now?

I am not a fan of serials at all, especially when the author could make one book out of the series. That having been said, this was well written with very likeable three dimensional characters. The story moved smoothly with enough detail to flesh the story and characters out. Although not a probably occurance, the story just was very enjoyable and now I am hooked. I would assign this a sexy score of 4.5. Although many might consider this "fluff", it was worth my time and the price.

FUN FUN AND FUN.

This book was so good. I couldn't stop laughing and loving Becca. We don't only have one sexy billionaire with amazing eyes, but we also get a hilarious heroine. Becca is capable of fake it until she makes it, and Markus was in need of her acting abilities. All my praises go to author for such an amazing dialogue.

Part 1 of 3

Although this was an entertaining read, I HATE books that require you to buy more books to finish the main story. They are teases. On top of that, the story line is predictable.

So I got this book for free in a collection of first books by Sierra Rose. When something is free it is usually so for a reason, so I was not expecting much of this book when I started reading. Paint me happily surprised that I was off the mark, to some extent at least, because this was actually quite a joyful read.

The billionaire’s fake girlfriend did have a bit of a slow and awkward start with people acting kind of unnaturally (e.g. complete strangers stopping what they are doing just to applaud the main character for breaking up an argument). It also got hung up on details that weren’t much of any interest to me, meaning the first few chapters dragged on with not much catching my intrigue. However as soon as the book got over that first hump the story managed very well to draw me in.

I think it was Becca’s charming personality that did it first. Then we got some delicious drama with the eviction notice, conflict with the higher class ladies treating her like dirt under their shoes and of course the best drama of it all, between Becca and Marcus. That mixed with the party incident and her officially meeting Marcus really got the story going. Sure, it was still a bit dragged out in some places and the plot and drama could have used some more depth and complexity, but considering my first expectations of the book I am satisfied with what I got. And what I got was a charming sizzling romance that grew on me throughout the story.

While I feel like Marcus could have offered a bit more in the personality department I did really like him and Becca together. They fit in each other’s company beautifully and developed the relationship in such a natural, yet excitingly charming way that I just couldn’t help but fall for both of them. I do hope that I will get even more characterization and see a real relationship start to take place in the next book, because with that ending I just can’t help but to keep reading to see what will happen between them.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~~
Rebecca is in need of a break, as an aspiring actress she is willing to do what she can to avoid being evicted. So she goes to a party to do some networking for a modeling agency. One thing leads to another after she is bullied and she claims to be dating the billionaire that is throwing the party. Before she can escape Marcus claims her as his girlfriend much to her shock. He proposes more than a one acting gig, but is this more than even Rebecca can pull off?
This was a such a great read, I was very sad when it ended. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series. Fair warning this ends in a cliffhanger and other books must be read to get all your questions answered. I loved Rebecca and Marcus together, they are yin and yang to each other. I would recommend this book.
Ok, so this book ends at like 60% BUT..... It is so freaking good. I like the whole Fake Girlfriend books, because in most cases you have all the funny banter and romantic moments that makes your heart all full..... BUT you also have all those steamy hott moments that bulid up to a really hott explosion. You basically get to be along on the ride while the characters fake their relationship and fall in love in the process. This book has Bex, who is beautiful, kind and funny. She never seems to say the right thing but regardless she just has this way about her that is charming. And she meets the billionaire, Marcus, who needs to land a client and needs a girlfriend to prove he is not a playboy. They work out this arrangement, which was to be temporary but as you can guess, feeling have a way of getting in the way..... I can't wait for the 2nd book!
Meh. Writing felt like it switched narrators within same chapter. First person from both characters was sometimes confusing. Mentioned characteristics of characters that were not displayed in characters actions. Male role was supposed to be a player yet he was working so much he didn’t show up at his own party. This action didn’t match with with a player. Chapters seemed unorganized and should take place in same location or with same narrator. Jumped around within chapters, time location and first person. I could follow it but the writer can improve on it. I hesitate to read the writer again. Free from iBooks.
Cute plot. Would also like spicy scenes.
I'm really glad I had book 2 ready to read with this one. That was some cliff hanger. I would not have been a happy bunny if I'd had to wait for book 2. That said, I'm loving this series. I do want to bang their heads together but that's part of the fun of it. I love the characters and the setting. I'm listening to the audio version and wasn't sure about the narrator at first but I got used to her. It's all good. This book is definitely worth a read but only if you have all 3 lined up and ready to go.
Cliffhangers I can’t stand as well as parts of books to get more money is another pet peeve. It’s short but good the next part is a short 25 minute read and I’m a slow reader. But as I said story good thus far. I’ll continue with this series however it will be my last as I do not care for authors doing small segments of stories that can actually be one book to collect more money for readers. 👎
Becca was just a girl
Becca was just an ordinary girl trying to catch a break in Hollywood. She work in a hospice center and before work she stopped at the coffee shop. To her surprise trying to stop a fight. Never knowing this rich sexy man would change her life. Would she give him the answer he wanted.
Light filler
Not sure how to categorize this but I wanted something light and easy to read in between books. This was a short little novella introduction to the series. It ends on a bit of a “cliffhanger” without closing of the story line which is a little annoying. However it’s enough to get me to look for the next book so hey.
Funny, Romantic and Witty
Rebecca and Marcus are on different financial and social levels, but their chemistry is in sync. Their fake relationship is moee real than they both realuze. Their emotional foreplay is fun to experience as they both are not aware neither are playing a role.
So cute
Loved this book. Rebecca is a great character, she's really and funny. Marcus is what you would typically expect from someone who is wealthy. Marcus is sweet, charming and smart. Thou Marcus seems like he is only in this for a business deal. I think he is falling just as hard for Rebecca, as Rebecca is falling for him.
Oh, this is so sweet and funny, and surprisedly down to earth. I love it! Becca and Marcus are perfect together. I think Marcus sees it more than Becca, and he takes advantage of that, just like a shark businessman would. That plot point leads to the cliffhanger, which will make you growl in frustration, but it's also so romantic. I didn't mind so much.
Short, more like a novel-y, book that was fun and carefree. The story itself is similar to so many ither billionaire romances that the unlikeliness of this ever happening in real life takes away from the enjoyment of reading this, especially since the story feels a bit skimmed through at points.
Solid 3.5 ⭐️
Fácil de leer y muy predecible
Aspirante a actriz llega a una fiesta millonaria y debido a las burlas de algunas señoras ella decide decir que es la novia del dueño de la casa.
El le sigue la corriente y luego la contrata para que sea su novia falsa
Obvio hay libro dos.
Interesting
This was a really good book. The storyline was great. She's trying to be an actress and works as a nursing assistant in a hospice. He's a billionaire. They meet and the story gets better.
Could use an editor
Decent enough storyline but could use an editor or two. Missed or extra words, changing from an early call that wakes mom to the moon rising overhead in the same scene, etc. made it hard to follow.
Fake never felt so real
This story felt fresh and interesting. The pacing never felt rushed or drug out, and the chemistry felt natural. The love interest is sweet and not toxic, but has his own wants which make him likeable. I highly recommend this book.
1,5. The banter both between the H and h and the h and her friend was over the top/overdone. And the "book" ended at around 60% and the rest were samples of other books by the author. Not going to buy the overprized next 2 books.
