Helen Lacey grew up reading Black Beauty, Anne of Green Gables and Little House on The Prairie. These childhood classics inspired her to write her first book when she was seven years old, a story about a girl and her horse. Although, it wasn’t until the age of eleven when she read her first Mills & Boon, that she knew wanted to write romances. Her parents’ love of travel meant she saw much of the world in those early years and she feels fortunate to have had a diverse and interesting education over several continents.
She continued to write into her teens and twenties with the dream of one day being a published author. A few years and careers later, including motel operator, florist, strapper, dog washer, and retail manager, she got the call from Harlequin Special Edition. She loves writing about tortured heroes, both cowboys and CEO’s, and heroines who finally get the love of the man of their dreams.
From Welsh parents and a large family, she lives on the east coast of Australia in a small seaside town at the southern most point of The Great Barrier Reef, with her wonderfully supportive husband, many horses, two cats and three spoiled dogs.

MS Lacey writes stories that are emotional moving and so very magical they are tales of love and happiness and there is a rocky road for our heroes and heroines to follow till they get their HEA and they leave you with a smile.
We are back in Cedar River again and this time Brooke Laughton is going to meet the man who will inevitably sweep her off her feet but first she has to open up to top New York Lawyer Tyler Madden who has shown up on her doorstep with the thing that Brooke craves more than anything a baby a beautiful baby girl Cara who turns out to be her niece, but of course Brooke's brother is missing and Tyler is determined because of a promise he made to Cara's dying mother to ensure that little Cara will be returned to her father. Tyler has worked hard and really has no plans to marry but there is a spark that starts when Brooke and him first meet and it will grow.
This is a story that had me in tears and turning the pages Cara is one beautiful determined little girl even at her young age and with her smiles and the electrical spark that gets stronger everyday between Brooke and Tyler is it no wonder that they fall into each others arms which starts a sensual and moving road to a very family orientated HEA. Yes I highly recommend this one you will not be sorry you will be delighted, thank you MS Lacey for another keeper.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I don't think I have read any of this authors work before. I shall be looking to remedy this.
My heart went out to Brooke. Denied the possibility of ever carrying her own child. Is heartbreaking enough. Then for your boyfriend to say he still wanted to be with you regardless. Only to then up and leave you when it turns out you have a biological child from another woman.
It's bound to cut deep and leave you very untrusting of men.
Brooke thinks her dreams have come true when a gorgeous man and baby turn up on her doorstep. Only to find Tyler is here for her brother. The father of little Cara.
Brooke desperately tries to track Matt down in time. Before Tyler leaves with Cara and starts proceedings to have her adopted.
Ten days is all she has. Brooke makes the most of her time with her neice. And finds herself falling in love with Tyler. The feelings are mutual but Brooke can't tell Tyler she loves him.
I was cheering on Brooke to admit her feelings. They were made for each other.

Then Tyler Madden landed on her doorstep one night literally with a baby in his hands. Could she hope for a miracle with him and this baby? Could she build her family from these tattered shreds? But Tyler was a commitment phobic corporate lawyer from the big city. And the baby was someone else’s. He was looking for the baby’s dad.
THE COWGIRL’S FOREVER FAMILY is a stunning romance with mesmerizing emotions. I laughed at Brooke’s dialogues and cried with her. It was hard to leave this story and come out of it. Author Helen Lacey took her readers high on emotions with this story. As a reader I stayed glued to the pages till the last page.
Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

In The Cowgirl’s Forever Family by Helen Lacey, Tyler Madden is custodian of Brooke Laughton’s niece and he is tasked with the responsibility of making sure she is settled with her daddy. But settling her is not as easy as he’d hoped! While Tyler and Brooke is waiting for Caro’s daddy to show up, feelings develop between them and they fall in love.
The book is extremely touching, I couldn’t help falling in love with the characters and feeling what they were feeling. The emotions were realistic, the characters were easy to relate to and the baby was adorable. Overall, it was a fantastic book and I recommend it to any romance lover who enjoys a story that tugs at your heartstrings and pulls you in.
Helen Lacey never disappoints! I can’t wait to read the next story in The Cedar River Cowboys series.

A stand out story for the brilliant plot, for the amazingly written story which certainly belongs in the Special Edition category 100%, for the unique characters and the layers of the characters and for the way the story held my attention from the moment the car pulled up in the driveway.
Inbetween fascinating baby Cara's story is two wonderful characters, Brooke and Tyler who are as opposite as you can get - Ranch owner Brooke is fighting forclosure and city slicker hot shot lawyer Tyler is looking for the father of baby Cara, Brooke's little brother. Forced to spend the week together (and by forced I mean the wonderful friends of Brooke and folks of Cedar River help her out) at the Ranch they fight their growing attraction all the while both trying to do what's best for baby Cara and her future.
Such a solid story filled with drama, intrigue, emotion and passion. Two very likeable characters to learn about and first each other to learn about, and boy is there truck loads to learn! I really really enjoyed the concept of the book and the fast paced and exciting flow of the story. It was wonderful to be back in Cedar River and I love that I feel like I've given someone a great big hug after I finished.

But Matt saw that connection the Cara had with Tyler and knew he could never be that way as he was too unsettled yet. He knew about his sis and he did a very unselfish thing. I won’t ruin the surprise by telling you all what happened next but #1 have a box of tissues handy and enjoy.
Trust me when I say you will not be disappointed in this book. Helen always writes the best.

The Cowgirl's Forever Family by Helen Lacey. Brooke Laughton owns a ranch. She is having a hard time making the mortgage payments. Five years ago her parents were killed in a car accident. Her brother Matt was driving and he blames himself for his parents death. A rich family's daughter was in the other car causing the accident. No one believed Matt since he was in trouble before. The rich girl left the country. Matt has been gone five years and only text Brooke from time to time. Tyler Madden is an attorney from New York. He went to Brookes' place looking for Matt. Matt has a daughter who is almost one. Tyler is in charge of the baby until he finds Matt and decides if he is fit to take care of his daughter. Tyler stays at Brooke's ranch so Brooke can spend time with her niece. Brooke ends of falling in love with Tyler and loving the baby. A very touching story.

Having a family of her own is something Brooke Laughton will never have until one day Tyler Madden shows up at her doorstop with a baby girl in tow. Could this be her forever family? As it turns out the child is Brooke’s niece—the daughter of her missing brother. During the wait for her brother’s return sparks fly between the hunky lawyer and the cowgirl and it isn’t before long that thoughts of forever together create something incredibly beautiful between Tyler, Brooke and little Caro!

Brooke Laughton has accepted that having a family is not in her stars, except this is Ms. Lacey writing this story. Enter Tyler Madden on Brooke's doorstep with a baby girl, who turns out to be her niece, her missing brother's daughter. Thrown together waiting for her brothers return and with the electricity between Tyler and Brooke you are engrossed in the story to find out how this couple with such a different life can somehow find their HEA. Easy always fantastic stories from Helen Lacey so sit in your saddle and enjoy this wonderful story.

The Cowgirl's Forever Family (The Cedar River Cowboys) by Helen Lacey is a part of the series but it is also a read alone book. Tyler Madden arrives at Cedar River Ranch with a baby girl in tow. Her's trying to find Brooke Laughton's brother to let him know that he is a Daddy and the baby's Momma is dead. Brooke wants a child very badly, and the magnetic draw to Tyler gives us love story in the making.

Another heartwarming and deeply satisfying romance from Helen Lacey. I'm loving this new Cedar River series, and how lovely is it to have a cowgirl this time, instead of a cowboy. The hero Tyler, is to die for, and when the tug-of-war is about a beautiful baby, what's not to love? Highly recommended!

This is the 2nd book I read by Helen Lacey. I loved ❤ this book's storyline. I loved ❤ the hot & steamy scenes. I loved ❤ Brooke's character. My heart broke 💔 for Brooke. I loved ❤ Tyler's character. I loved ❤ Cara, she was adorable. I loved ❤ the ending. Awesome job Ms. Lacey.
