It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and I think Wayne Larrivee is an outstanding broadcaster. Despite the teams off year, I was looking forward to Larrivee's book "If These Walls Could Talk." But I was a bit disappointed. We learn that Larrivee didn't like Coach Mike Sherman and does like Aaron Rodgers. But, lots of issues are glossed over including the departure of Brett Farve and the famed QBs battles with alcohol and controlled substances.
As a Green Bay packer fan I enjoyed reading this book (If These Walls Could Talk) by Wayne Larrivee. It's a great book I highly recommend it. Just for it's background in football itself I learned a lot from this book and I enjoyed reading it. Wayne rights about the history of Green Bay to Favre and Rogers. the only thing I didn't like was it was mostly about Favre and Rogers and not really any of the other player but thats just my opinion. all in all I thought it was a great book.
Love the Packers, very good stories.... But too repetitive and surprisingly too many grammar mistakes. Some quotes and stories were repeated too many times. But I did love a lot of the stories Wayne writes about and I learned many new things about my favorite football team! GO PACK GO!
If you're looking for unique stories from Wayne Larrivee as the subtitles suggest, this book is not that. Wayne does give a few opinions and stories that I so desperately craved throughout the book, but nowhere near as many as I had hoped for.
If you're looking for a general history of the Green Bay Packers, especially one that focuses more on the recent, then this is the book for you.
It was fun strolling down memory lane reading about the past 20 years, but I wish Wayne would have told his personal stories and given his opinions throughout.
If you're a Packers fan, this is a fun read and an interesting look at the history of the Packers, the rise of Favre, the rise of Rodgers, winning the Super Bowl(s), and what the heck happened that day in Seattle. Go Pack Go!
