This book may have literally opened up an avenue of enjoyment in learning to play the violin. The songs are lovely. The songs are somewhat challenging, but easily mastered with a modicum of practice and patience. I really recommend this to any violinist or violist.

Lots of different tunes from different styles of fiddling, plus explanations of common types of ornamentation in fiddle tunes. Has tunes that range from easy to really fricking difficult and also lists recordings for each tune. A very good reference.
