Role playing game of life in the mythic Old American West, with a strategic map of an area surrounding an isolated town, and another map of the town itself. Live life of a gunfighter or cowpoke vicariously....
Read because of this incredible blog post. This system to me is an insane series of numbers that turn other numbers into yet more numbers. I would never use it, but sometimes it's good to read something you never otherwise would, just to see what it's like over there, or remind yourself what it is you actually value.
This didn't catch with me. The combat system was not bad, there were too few modules or people familiar enough with the system to put together a sound game. Never broke the surface of what we could do with it. Reminded me of "Top Secret" in the old west.
It might have been fun in a "Cowboys Vs. Aliens" setting, or western Vampire... but, that's more of a modern twist. The designers were more interested in historical detail (as opposed to accuracy) than this kind of thing when it came out.
Not familiar enough to go likes vs dislikes, but, that's kind of the point. To obscure and never found it's footing.
