It's about applying anomaly detection in systems and operations monitoring (database , servers ,applications ..). I wished it focus more on machine learning approaches.

The techniques the authors chose to include were explained clearly, with enough detail to give me an idea of where each might be applicable, and enough brevity to keep my interest.
