Double Dealing

Two ridiculously hot bad boy brothers. One unsuspecting good girl.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster, right? Well, it might be, but it could be the best thing that’s ever happened to me, too.

Felix and Francois may have taken me hostage, but they’re the hottest damn criminals I’ve ever seen. I SHOULD be thinking of every possible way to escape. But all I can do is gaze into their mysterious eyes — eyes that promise dark, forbidden pleasures that I’d never dare tell my mother about.

The two brothers have a rivalry, and neither of them will be outdone in their bid to claim me.

There’s two of them and only one of me.

Call me greedy, but why should I have to choose?

Can’t I have my cake and eat it too?

No clue how I found this or why I decided to try the sample. Even though the story was absurd, I was sucked into it and read in one sitting.

My GR friends might be surprised because I read almost no ménage. I guess I had an out of body experience today!

Therefore, considering this book was completely outside of my comfort zone and interests, I was sucked into the story. There was a point I skimmed a little because something happened that I was very upset over and I wanted to see the resolution rather than living in the present with the characters.

The entire plot was one unbelievable thing after another. But I enjoyed it. Heck I love PNR so what do I care about a few unbelievable elements?

Aside from the ménage, there are a few elements that might make safety gang members uncomfortable, hence the exceptions. But no cheating per se.

This was such an emotional read, that it will make you be glad and grateful to the love in your life.
Jordan is a beautiful woman who plays music like a goddess and is just recently got this job in the museum. She is working late at the museum when suddenly she sees something strange coming out of the Japanese swords room. She goes and ends up seeing the one of the guards down. She is able to pull the alarm but she gets knocked out. Later she wakes up and finds she has been kidnapped by two sexy and seductive men Felix and Francois. They are half brothers but its really hard to guess that. They look so much alike . Then men are deeply attracted to Jordan and find the more time they are around her, the more they are falling in love with her.
A ménage is in the making and Jordan finds she cannot chose one over the other so she sleepts with both men. The romance was going great until Francois started inner demons run him. F elix loves his brother Francois, has no clue about the inner jealousy Francois feels toward Felix, his prestige, and rank as the Gypsy King.
There is danger, a family tragedy, pain and loss as well as passion, heat, love, joy and forgiveness. I was in shock at the twist and turn the book took but the way the story wrapped up was sweet. I would have a slightly different ending but that is something to speak of on another day. I think this book was great and I highly recommend it.
My rating: 4.5 stars ****

Maybe this was going to be a great story. Unfortunately I doubt it. The absurdity gets out in the sample:
-she is both a tour guide and a janitor in a museum. Err, I did work in a museum, albeit in an office. I won't even start. Why not simply let her work as a janitor, there's no shame in it.
-she stumbled on a crime. Both the thief and her wear a gas mask. But rather than leaving her tied somewhere they kidnap her. Just for the fun of it.
-these very professional international thieves, who kidnapped her for fear of being recognised while wearing a mask, have no problem in showing her their faces the morning after...but of course they mean no harm
-she wakes up after being conked on the head, realises she's being kidnapped and has NO sliver of fear, terror, anything resembling a normal reaction. No she looks at the kidnapper drooling.

There were a few other silliness, but I think that above is enough.

Still, if you don't give it a damn, the book is at 0.99.

Note: This is not a review, it's a note to my future self to understand and remember.

My 3rd Lauren Landish book and I did not care for this one at all. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be reading anymore books by this author at least in the near future. Crossing my fingers that the writing will get better and I can revisit this author in the future, but there are just too many other authors out that that I'd rather spend more time reading.

I have to say that Lauren Landish did an outstanding job on this book. I really loved how she wove in music, love, sex, robbery, kidnapping, torture, and deceit all in one book. I loved it. Thought it showed tremendous ability. My attention was held clean through the whole book. I loved how she wove the characters into a well thought out and well written story line and made you feel the emotions the characters in the book were feeling. Absolutely wonderful book and everyone must read it. You will not be disappointed.

Jordan Banks is a wannabe musician struggling with life and trying to audition for jobs where she can play her guitar. So now she is looking for a job to help with finances until maybe she gets her big break. She finds an ad where the Japanese American National Museum otherwise known as the JANM is looking for help. When Harry Takahashi sees that she needs the help he offers her not only one job, but two. She would be a tour guide of the museum and a janitor. With the new exhibit in and guards posted Jordan is trying to finish in the show room where the exhibit is before the doors are closed till morning. Wearing the new mask Mr. Takahashi had bought her to keep out the cleaning fumes. She sees smoke coming in the room and automatically pulls the fire alarm and then she is tackled and out she goes.

Felix and Francoise Hardy are thieves for hire. The will steal anything that a person wants stolen, but for a price. They consider themselves good at what they do, and try to be better each time in order to be better then their dad was. They never intended to kidnap anybody but Felix was scared that Jordan had seen him. Their intention was only to hold her till they could they get out of the United States, but they both started to have feelings for her and they both wanted her. Should they leave her behind, or should they let her go with them? Can they both share her?

Jordan is developing feelings for both her kidnappers and isn't wanting to be left behind. Can she have them both? Or should she just chose one?

No spoilers. A must read. ARC free book given for honest review.

The last thing Jordan expects to happen is to be kidnapped from work but that's exactly what happens. Felix and Francois are thieves on a job when they literally run into Jordan. Thinking that they have no choice they kidnap her so she can identify them to the cops. However this isn't your typical kidnapping because this is something neither has ever done before. Jordan knows she should be afraid of these men but the more time she's with them the more curious she is about them.

Felix is the new King of their gypsy family and has taken over their father lead. They steal to support their family as a whole. Francois is his half brother. Francois is bitter about not being the new King and because of this he has been planning his revenge. What neither had planned was to fall for their hostage and take her home with them. Leaving Jordan behind with their mothers' they go finish the job. The unexpected happens for Felix his brother puts his plan into motion and commits the biggest betrayal.

This book will have to turning pages just to find out what happens next. Amazing characters that will take you on a rollercoaster ride. This book has hot sex, strong characters, betrayal and so much more that will draw you in. I recommend you read it if you haven't yet.

This is not your usual menage romance. There is a lot of surprises and unexpected actions on the parts of the characters. I was very intrigued and eager to read it all. It hits a lot of emotions.

Jordan is trying to work in the rock business as a guitar player but accepts other jobs to pay the bills. Her job at a museum puts her in the middle of a heist by brothers/cousins Felix and Francois. They take her with them to keep her from identifying them.

Jordan develops feelings for both of them and they get into a triad relationship. It seems to be going well but Francois has some jealousy towards his older brother and that causes serious issues for them all. I am not going to reveal any of the major surprises so you can discover them for yourself. It is a really well written story with complex characters. It is not simply about a sexual relationship.

Wow not your normal threesome love story.

Most stories that have one women and multiple men have the same kind of feel. Basically the men don't mind sharing and everything is perfect. However, this story has so much emotion and realistic feelings that a throuple would have. This book made me smile, laugh, hold my breath, cry, and scream. The ending is so bitter sweet and I never would have guessed it would end like that. This is worth every penny and I would recommend this book to friends because it is without a doubt one of a kind when it comes to a throuple story.

Jordan is just about getting by. Taking a job at a museum she is kidnapped by brothers Felix and Francois and starts to become attracted to both. Eventually she stays and has a relationship with both which isn’t to dissimilar to their childhood and family.

But will envy and greed get in the way?

I really enjoyed the ending of this book, pity it all happened a bit quick. If it wasn’t for this I would have given 2 stars!

I had to walk away

I love a good suspense thrown in, but girl I had to walk away for almost a week I was so pissed😂😂. But I came back, I had to find out how it ended...so that some d**n fine writing right there. So I cried like a baby with Jordan and some of my “aches and losses” were lessened with those tears. So Lauren thank you!!
I definitely recommend this book and I must warn you...stick with it even if you have to come back later you won’t regret it ❣️❣️

One of the few authors that make a fictional story become almost believable.

This series of books is a must read for the people who enjoy the heat and passion of these menage stories, but don't enjoy the coldness of "porno." This story was full of real to life character's, very well written, and passion filled.

This book was amazing! I'm not sure what I expected, but the description of this book does not do it justice, so let me help with that real quick...

Jordan is a down her luck guitarist. She's moved to LA like so many people hoping to make it big in the music scene, but despite her talent, she's finding it hard to get "in". She reluctantly sends out resumes so she can pay her bills. She gets an interview to be a tour guide at a museum, much to her excitement. Jordan loves history and visiting museums, and luckily for her she gets the job. Her boss knows she's a struggling musician, and through his own love of music, takes pity on her, and offers her extra hours on the janitorial side as well, so she can have full-time hours and benefits. Jordan now has a steady flow of income and the ability to still make auditions. Even though the work is hard, she's grateful, and it's not anything she hasn't done before. She had no idea that one night will cleaning after hours, her life would change forever....

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jordan gets taken hostage by two of the hottest guys she has ever seen--Felix and his brother Francoise. They are unbelievably kind, and not like anything she would have expected from a set of renowned art thieves. They do everything in their power to reassure her they will not harm or touch her, and promise to release her as soon as they can, since they hadn't planned on taking her prisoner. Only after a few days, she realizes she is becomingly increasingly attracted to both brothers. She's never had that happen and now isn't sure what to think--especially since their her kidnappers! As far as Felix and Francoise are concerned, these hot gypsy thieves are becoming loose in the tongue about themselves, and unable to hide their attraction for the beautiful, if slightly naive, Jordan. Being stuck in a cabin in the woods, what better opportunity could they possibly have?

There isn't anything I didn't like about this book. I was so grateful all three "books" were in one volume, since I spent a majority of my day reading it. The way the characters interact in the beginning reels you in, wanting the "bad guys" to get the girl. The chemistry between Jordan and each brother is different, but no less intense and hot. Add to that the heightened suspense, the rivalry between the brothers, and the emotional roller coaster of some parts, and this is probably one of my favorite reads from Lauren. Many parts had me on the edge of my seat and so happy that I have my own HEA. Read and you'll see what I mean!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Felix and Francois Hardy as well as Jordan Banks. Jordan is a woman who is just looking to make it in the music business but there aren't many opportunities for a woman guitarist ou there. So to make sure she can pay the bills she will take any job out there. When a job as a tour guide opens up she jumps on the chance. When her boss also offers her a job on the janitorial crew, she thinks why not she could really use the extra money. So when two thieves come into to steal the priceless Japanese katana swords she has no clue and neither do they. So when she literally runs into one of them that night they have to take her to ensure that if she did get a good look at him that there is no way she can turn them in. After Jordan's capture she goes on many adventures with these men and realizes how boring her life has actually been up to this point. There is just one problems she is having she realizes she is falling for not one of these men but both of them. Does she have to choose or can she have the adventure with them and the love of two men?

Felix and Francois never plan on meeting up with Jordon they sure didn't plan on her throwing a monkey wrench in their well planned out theft of the swords. However they are not sure how to feel about the woman they are both falling for. The other problem the boys are having is the growing issues they have of their birthright. These boys come from nontraditional means and being with the same woman would fall in line with how they were raised. However when hurt and resentment enter the picture how can this type of relationship actually work.

There are many twists and turns in this book that will have you wondering what will happen next to this group. The problem that I found with it is there are a lot of place where the story drags. I understand the need for reference but there are points where it feels like there is to much reference that stalls the story-line. The relationship between this these three really has some dynamics that should have been in the story more than all the reference materials. Over all there is a very good story that will have you wondering what will happen by the end of the book to these three. I would recommend it.

I received this for a honest review. When reading Lauren Landish’s books you always know you are in for a real treat. I have to say as the book started progressing I had to wonder where she was going with the story. Even came to hate one of the main characters in the book but Lauren redeemed that character in my eye’s before it was over. This book has so much going on. You will find love, passion, hurt, betrayal, and jealousy. It is kind of a bitter sweet story.

Jordan was someone that wanted to make it in the music world. She did have a good head on her shoulders. She was not one of those starving artist so to speak. She could look at the reality of things and see the whole picture. She knew if she wanted to eat and her bills paid she had to work. She never dreamed that landing a job would also cause her to come face to face with her destiny.

It was supposed to be a quick in and out for Francois and Felix. They were to steal the swords and get out. What they were not expecting was to have the beautiful woman put a damper in their plans. What is a polite robber to do? Take the woman with them that is what.

It is not long before Jordon finds herself falling for two men, two men that are half-brothers. Things will get steamy. The adventure is only beginning for Joran, the Gypsy King, and the Prince of Thieves. Might want to keep a box of tissue handy though.

Thievery, kidnapping, family and love come together in this intricate story! 4.4 stars

We meet Jordan as she is finishing up one more audition – classically trained, but able to “shred” on the guitar, she knows the rock industry is both on a down turn – and tough even at its heyday. She follows up on a Museum tour guide position which will at least put food on the table, and we learn that she does not play violin any more due to an event 8 years ago – serious enough that she suffered from PTSD for a time.

Tour guide by day, with a few nights on cleaning duty brought her to full-time pay and still time to audition or play gigs. That is until a robbery results in her being kidnapped. Trapped in a remote cabin with the two brother-thieves, they begin to share stories and a growing attraction increases. A decision to stay together leads to these three in a ménage relationship – but this is Jordan’s idea. Can these two competitive brothers accept an equal relationship, will the law catch up with them, and can Jordan just walk away from her life?

Alternately bittersweet and touching, the growing relationships and challenges provided make this a compelling read.

Jordan has spent seven years in California trying to become a professional musician, but luck just isn't on her side, so she ends up in pretty ho-hum jobs to pay the rent. Working as part of the late-night cleaning crew at a museum, she gets more than she bargained for when she unintentionally botches a midnight theft.
Felix and Francois are brothers and international thieves, willing to steal pretty much anything for the right price. When they accidentally encounter Jordan during their latest heist, Felix insists they bring her with them to their hide out, in case she can identify them.
From the moment Jordan wakes up in their hide out, she is captivated by the brothers. The more time she spends with them, the harder she falls. When the time comes, she's ready to follow them on the adventure of a life-time.
But HEAs will have to wait. Greed, resentment, dilution, and distrust hang heavily over one of the brothers. Much will be lost in the pursuit of happiness.
The story is in-depth and complex. The characters are three dimensional and there are times I loved to hate certain ones.

I started reading this book when it was titled The Bandits and was dying by the way the second book ended. I was so happy to hear that Ms. Landish had created a stand alone with a different HEA than I imagined. I don't want to give away too much about this book but definitely recommend it as must read! Felix and Francois are half-brothers of a Romani gypsy tribe. Their mothers, who are sisters, fell in love with the same man and each gave him a son. Unfortunately, Francois does not like the fact that Felix is now the King of their tribe. Both learned to be art thieves from their dad and because of one robbery gone a little wrong, they end up with Logan. She ends up falling for the Hardy brothers and wants to make a life with both of them. Only problem is power overcomes Francois and the relationship between the three changes drastically! This book made me happy and then sad during the final chapters. I am not going to tell you what happens....you need to read this book! Thanks for the emotional journey and can't wait to read more of your books!

I loved and enjoyed reading the sensational & suspenseful, captivating & intriguing romantic Advanced Reading Copy that I received from the wonderfully, talented Lauren Landish.
Jordan is working late at night cleaning the museum, sees smoke coming out of the room where the priceless Japanese swords are, pulls the alarm, goes to check on the guards, and is knocked down by a man in a mask and blacks out. When Jordan wakes up, she finds out she has been kidnapped by the two thieves, Felix and Francois. Felix and Francois, half-brothers, are two incredibly sexy men who literally sweep Jordan off of her feet. Jordan finds herself falling for not one brother but both of them. A menage romance begins between Felix, Jordan, and Francois. Felix who loves his brother Francois, doesn't know the inner rooted jealousy Francois feels toward Felix, his prestige, and rank as the Gypsy King.
Read the highly recommended, phenomenally written, heart-wrenching love story of Felix, Jordan, and Francois.

OMFG what a kickass book!!! From start to finish, i couldn't stop reading, and s*** talk about emotional... WOW!!!
Jordan is working in the museum that Felix and Francoise broke into. Professional theives they may be, but kidnappers... Not so much!
I don't want to give away any spoilers so ill just state that all 3 begin to get feelings and the feelings turn to love! The small problem with it all, that the story unfolds perfectly, is that Francoise is extremely jealous of Felix in each and every way, and not just with Jordan!
With twists and turns that had me gob smacked, white knuckled and in tears, this has been a real deep roller coaster of a story!!! The ending is heart braking yet still beautiful i recommend this book, and i also request that you have a box of tissues at hand... Because you will need them!!!
All in all this book has knocked me on my ass and i can't wait to see what Lauren has planned next!!!

I freaking loved Bandits, and I've been patiently waiting for part III. Per usual, Landish did not disappoint! I mean, the blurb says it all, Jordan is an American woman who's at the wrong place at the wrong time and gets caught up with two devilishly handsome twin Romani brothers! But, one brother wanted it all and was willing to do whatever it took even at the harm of his own flesh and blood. What he did, I was just shocked because I could never in a million years do that to my own sibling!! Then everything came to a head and the part near the end had me tearing up. I mean to the point where I actually had to close my kindle for a minute before I could continue reading. Double Dealing was double the fun, double the laughs, double the tears, double the suspense, double the action, and most importantly double the pleasure. Landish is constantly just outdoing herself! I'm thinking where's she going to go next??? I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book from the author for an honest review. I have to say I don't normally read ménage stories but this one was hot and emotional! I don't blame Jordan for feeling how she did. I wouldn't be able to choose! Haha
Felix was so tender and romantic while Francois was your cocky bad boy. Mix them together and you get the perfect sexual encounter. This story just isn't about the sex scenes. Their actually is a story people! And Lauren does a good job to remind us of that. The brothers have a rivalry, more so Francois is jealous of the slightly older Felix. This rivalry turns into betrayal and that leaves Jordan heart broken. It gripped me that family could be swayed by jealousy so much to stab that person in the back.
I have to say I love a book that leaves you emotionally drained. This one did that. I wanted to read it again. And again. And maybe again...lol
