A brief, yet interesting history of Devils Tower, originally known as Bear Lodge, that I purchased at Devils Tower National Monument. I have to admit my interest in Devils Tower started as a child when I saw the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but I really appreciated learning the native legends and history surrounding this awe-inspiring land feature.

Very informative. A fun read for anyone who has visited or wants to visit the Tower. The chapter on the Native American Legends was my favorite.
