Linda Ford

Linda Ford grew up devouring books and making up stories in her head—often late at night when she couldn't sleep. But she hadn't planned to write. Instead, she dreamed of running an orphanage. In a way, that dream came true. She married, had four homemade children, adopted ten and lived (at times, endured) the dream.

Writing first took her to non-fiction human-interest articles for newspapers and eventually a non-fiction book about tuberculosis set in the 1930s and 1940s (Touched By The White Plague). But romance had always been her first love and she turned to writing love stories. She is multi-published in the CBA market.

She lives on a small ranch in Alberta, Canada, where she can see the mountains every day. She and her husband continue to enjoy their children and grandchildren.

I loved this book

When Lydia had go move on from the job she crossed the ocean for; she traveled with a family as their nanny, moving to Canada with them after her mother's death. The last member of her family.
Now that she arrived to her new job as a house keeper, she's shocked that it was for two bachelor's. How could she stay in the house with two single men? The solution, Granny. They had Granny move in to be a chaperone until Lydia found a job that wouldn't compromise her.
Time changed things and when the Pastor found another job helping a family with five children, it was time for her to make a decision.
I loved the storyline as much as I loved the characters!

Awesome God

I could see God working things out all through this tale. One of Linda Ford’s first book from the western Canada area. Lydia takes a job keeping house for 2 bachelors but insists on a chaperone, so Matt fetches Granny to keep her company. At the start, only Lydia is interested in church and spiritual guidance, but Sam, Matt, and Granny eventually are drawn back to God. A great story about living testimonies.

Christian Historical Romance

I loved reading about these people! How strangers turn into friends and even family! It was a beautiful story! Her new neighbors are the best, too!
